Eve's Saucy New Prototype Kit

Posted on at 4:23 PM by Moobeat

Here is another wonderful post from Shurelia giving us a sneak peak at what is to come. This time we are getting a glimpse at Evelynn's new kit for post stealth update. If you some how missed the other warnings, keep in mind this is all very subject to change and just reflects Eve's current internal build. With that being said, this looks pretty bamf if you ask me.

Usual Disclaimer: Please note that this is the current prototype and is not final, please dont use this against me and make me regret giving info.

This is the current prototype Evelynn kit. I wanted to remove a lot of her problems while retaining what I can from what people like about Eve. All names are placeholder. The changes should allow her to have a lot more reliable utility/assassination in cases where she is not stealthed, but remove the feeling of helplessly having no options besides "buy oracle, buy pink wards". Should help with her binary nature.

Passive: Soul Striker: Autoattacks shred flat MR. Spells shred flat Armor. Stacks.

Q: Prana Bolt: Changed to be a pass through missile that seeks its first target in the same way hate spike does.

W: Shadow Stitching. Passive - Bend the Shadows: Xypherous outlined stealth rework. Active - Disperse the Shadows: Evelynn reveals the target area at range for x (scaling) seconds. (scaling range).

E: Ravage Chakra: Evelynn deals damage and instantly stuns the target, dashing towards them immediately after it casts. (Different from leap stuns like pantheon, as it stuns you after they leap to you). No longer shreds armor/mr.

R: Ethreal Ascension: Evelynn ascends to her true form, gains attack speed and movement speed. Upon first transforming she is shrouded in energy and blocks up to X damage for 1.5 seconds. No longer heals on target kill, refreshes on kill still.

How Twitch is Shaping Up..

Posted on at 12:17 AM by Moobeat

Shurelia has shared with us a bit of information about where the rework for Twitch is currently setting. Please remember this is all subject to change, so don't take it as fact.

"I can give a breakdown of the changes.

Please note that this is the current prototype and is not final, please dont use this against me and make me regret giving info.

Character Passive: Damage is retaining true and is being lowered a bit. Duration is being increased.

Q: Now a passive/active. Passive is the Xypherous outlined stealth rework. Active grants bonus attack speed for x seconds and instantly reloads x Vile Bolts into Twitch's crossbow.

W: Debilitating Poison: Now requires poison on the target to cast. Cast range increased by double. Can no longer be cast if there are no valid targets in range.

E: New Spell. Fires a narrow line missile instantly that deals total attack damage and includes on hit effects. High range, .75 second cooldown but requires Vile Bolts. Vile Bolts are Twitch's ammo resource that replenishes over time or by reloading via Q.

R: Expunge: Can no longer be cast if there is no target in range. Requires poison, cast range doubled. Damage heavily increased."

Soraka's Future.

Posted on at 12:00 AM by Moobeat

The word around the forums is that straight healing is going to be diminished in the near future. One of our fellow summoners requested that Shurelia please comment on how this would affect our beloved Soraka, a champion known for her heavy healing support. Here is her answer that gives us a little insight on the direction Soraka is being shifted to.
"Soraka is pretty straightforward.

The idea was to straight up nerf sustain across the board (this includes non-supports as well).

Soraka's new kit will include a dual-build in which depending on how you build her, her playstyle will change drastically. I posted details about this yesterday somewhere... Search function should find it.

The gist of it is more powerful, non-ap reliant heals on a longer cooldown, making CDR the master stat for full support with soft-tanky auras/actives.

As for Sona... yeah thats gonna suck when I have to try to solve her problems..."

Catching Up: Unreleased Skins, New Animations, and New Default for Tryndamere

Posted on at 11:34 PM by Moobeat
Sorry for the lack of timely updates guys, but don't fret! Surrender at 20 isn't going any where.

First to start things off, I just wanted to clear the air that what I thought was going to be a new Tryndamere skin from a post or two ago is actually his new default skin! As you can see above, it is a darker skin than the original and the sword is style a bit different.'

Speaking of Tryndamere, He also received some new animations this patch alongside Janna and Kayle! Check out this video from FTWBroadcasting that shows all of them in action.

So we have two new unreleased skins to come out of the patch Tuesday; Full Metal Patheon and Demon Blade Tryndamere. The Tryndamere skin, which looks completely badass, has also been confirmed as Legendary. Check out the pictures below to snag a better look and check out the new voice overs for Demon Blade Tryndamere.

IP Boost

Posted on at 10:21 PM by Moobeat

Hey guys, I just to dedicate a post everyone who has been emailing me and asking me in game about the status of IP Boost.

I regretfully inform you that IP Boost has been discontinued as far as I am concerned. Neil, the person I co-hosted with, has sort of disappeared. He won't acknowledge my emails or any other communication so I can only assume this is his way of telling me he has become too busy or unable to devote time to the show. As most of you listeners know, a podcast is typically free and simply costs the time of the hosts to produce, create, and edit material for it. Neil put a lot of time into the podcast and I am sad that it has ended so abruptly. As many of you may recall from previous episodes, Neil and his wife recently had a child and I am sure this has not made things easy for them. My only regret is that me and Neil could not have some sort of official discussion about this as I can not get his attention ( on Twitter, Skype, Email, etc. ) long enough to have some sort of proper send off. I loved the show and want to take this time to think all of you guys for downloading the podcast. As this project was something I joined in on and did not create myself, I will not be continuing it.

With that being said, I am totally free up for similar projects. I may continue a podcast on my own if I can rouse up the guests for it or maybe switch to something of a "general" gaming podcast. I'll be sure to post the details as I have them available.

Take care summoners!

New Skins in Patch 1.0.0.122

Posted on at 4:05 PM by Moobeat
The new skins and bundles have been posted! Both Wukong skins are going to set you back 975 RP and my baseless assumption of the price on the other two is 975!

Patch Preview for Patch 1.0.0.122

Posted on at 11:50 PM by Moobeat

  • Tryndamere Rework: Tryndamere will be using the "rage" system that Renehkton uses. Every hit grants rage, kills and crits grant more rage than normal attacks.
  • Global Nerf: TF and Pantheon are having their ult range reduced. The range is still quite large. Pantheon will be receiving buffs in the patch after this one.
  • Corki Nerf: No specifics besides nerfing his burst.
  • Galio buffs: Increased base stats. Idol of Durand(Ult) gives him 20% more damage reduction. -.1 AP ratio on Q

You can also note the two new skins! We seems to have one for Tryndamere and one for Patheon.

Post Surgery Update

Posted on at 1:29 AM by Moobeat
Hey guys, thanks for your well wishes on my surgery. Everything went fine and my recovery is on track. I have a bandaid contact in and very limited vision on my left eye, but here is a sort of catch up post with the bigger updates in the past few days. Aside from a handful of posts about Morgana getting some love soon, I hope this makes due for what I've missed. My updates for the next small while will be rather slow as I deal with various things, thanks for your followed support!

1) Champion spotlight for the Kayle Remake.

2) Wukong, the Monkey King's abilities and gameplay preview

Abilities:

Stone Skin (Passive): Wukong's armor and magic resistance are increased for each nearby enemy champion.

Crushing Blow: Wukong swings his mighty staff with incredible speed, crushing his opponent. This attack deals additional physical damage and reduces the enemy's Armor for a short duration.

Decoy: Wukong utilizes his cleverness to trick his foes. He becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds and leaves an uncontrollable decoy behind that will deal Magic Damage to enemies near it after 1.5 seconds.

Nimbus Strike: Wukong dashes on a cloud toward a target enemy and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing physical damage to each enemy struck.

Cyclone (Ultimate): Wukong's staff grows outward and he spins it around, dealing damage and knocking up enemies. Wukong gains movement speed over the duration of the spell.

Little Knight Amumu and Warmonger Sion now available!

Posted on at 3:49 PM by Moobeat

Little Knight Amumu and Warmonger Sion now available via the in game store! Both skins are available for 975 Riot Points each. I can confidently say that Riot just tricked me into purchasing $20 of Riot Points.

(( sorry for the lack of updates, still dealing with some health problems and settling in from vacation. I go wednesday for a cornea transplant. I get an eye patch. ))

#JungleRemake

Posted on at 12:00 PM by Moobeat
@RiotGuinsoo has taken to another remake for us to follow on twitter. This time around it is not for a specific champion, but instead for jungling. As you can tell from the below picture, the #jungleremake is addressing a few key points of jungling.

First, Riot wants the jungler to have to chose between pvp and pve. Currently, a jungler roams his camps then has a small amount if down time, when monsters mostly dead, in which he can facilitate ganks. My interpretation of this is that we will see junglers who have to better manage the time between killing camps and ganking. Secondly, Guinsoo comments that he would like smite to be optional, but is unsure of how it will pan out. He also mentions that he would love for champions in their lane to be able to poach small camps ( bottom taking golems or mid taking wolves ) without it being detrimental to the jungler. The next comment is that they would like more champions to have increased jungle viability and make it easier for new summoners ( those without proper runes and masteries ) to jungle.

Guinsoo is constantly posting new information and discussing certain points on his twitter, so tune in to #jungleremake on twitter for updates!

Back from Vacation!

Posted on at 11:15 AM by Moobeat
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'm back from vacation. I'm just going to pick up from here updating the blog, but don't forget to check out these links to some pretty awesome stuff I missed while in Florida! I'm not going to dedicate a lot to each one, but here is some TLDR news from the past few days.

1) Region Selector - Allows you to pick which server you'd like to log on ( such as NA or EU ).

2) Leona, and a few new skins, have been made available - This one took a while to come out, but she finally made it out into the sunny fields of justice.

3) Stealth Remake Details - This one actually goes to a CLG red tracker for ease of reading, but it is a thread about the stealth remake that is finally starting to materialize. Long story short, the new system leaves champions like Eve and Twitch perma stealthed unless near an enemy champions field of vision. A ring indicator will be visible to the stealthed champion to know when they are visible. You should really give the thread a read.

4) Global Ult Changes and Pantheon - Post from Morello giving a bit more into the changes to global ults we will be seeing soon.

5) Kayle Update Next Patch - Currently the plan is to push out the long awaited update to Kayle's viability next patch... "plan".

6) Season One Extended - Season One is being extended! Expect rewards for each "rank" of rated games ( bronze, silver, gold, platinum ) and everyone will be getting an exclusive Kayle skin if they have completed ten or more games in any mode. The ratings of ranked summoners will also be "soft reset" to certain milestones. More details, such as time frame, numbers, and more will be coming in the future.

Multiple Rune Purchasing and Blitzcrank's New Animation

Posted on at 4:50 AM by Moobeat
The servers are finally back up after all of yesterday's problems and I have the ability to squeeze in one more update before I leave for Florida. I will return sometime Thursday, so see you guys then!
Just wanted to let everyone know the ability to puchase Multiple Runes at once has been added! Check out Moneypenny's announcement on the matter.
"Summoners!

If there’s anything that we’ve learned since launching League of Legends, it’s that good things often come in sets. And like all good things, runes are no exception. So for your convenience we’ve just added the ability for you to buy as up to nine copies of a particular rune, or up to three quintessences, at the touch of a button.

The process is simple. When you click to purchase you see now see a quantity field at the top of the box. Simply press the ‘+’ until you’ve reached the total number that you would like, then press ‘Unlock’ button to confirm your purchase.

We hope that this little improvement will take a bit of the headache out of filling in your runebook. Head on over to the League of Legends store to make your next rune purchase today!"
- MoneypennyMarketing Manager, via the official forums.

As you may have taken from the patch notes for 1.0.0.121, Blitzcrank received the change "Rocket Grab now has a proper animation." Here is a video of that sexy new animation!

(Q) Shield of Daybreak – Leona charges her shield with the power of the sun causing her next melee attack to deal additional damage and briefly stun the target.

(W) Eclipse – Leona raises her shield granting her additional Armor and Magic Resistance for 3 seconds. When the effect ends she deals area of effect damage and increases the duration of the defensive bonuses by 3 seconds if she damages an enemy.

(E) Zenith Blade – Leona throws a blade of sunlight that deals damage to all enemies in a line. Leona teleports to the last enemy champion hit by this attack.

(R) Solar Flare – After a brief delay, Leona calls down a beam of solar energy dealing damage and slowing enemies. Enemies in the center of the beam are stunned instead of slowed.

Sunlight (Passive) – Leona’s abilities mark the target with sunlight. Allied champions that damage marked targets deal additional damage and consume the mark.

(( I also wanted to let you guys now I will be out of town for a few days; I might be able to sneak some time into updating the blog before I actually leave, but most likely you won't see anything until next Thursday ( 7-14 ) when I return from the sunny shores of Florida. So, suck it and please accept my apologies for the sloppy post. ))

More Delays on Leona Patch - Platform Patched

Posted on at 11:55 PM by Moobeat

The title says it all, check out the post by Average Gatsby below.

In the next patch, we’re rolling out a number of new upgrades aimed at improving platform stability. These upgrades include some structural changes that should improve our platform across the globe. However, a significant change to the platform is not without a certain element of risk. In order to minimize the possibility of any disruption to your regular gameplay schedule, Leona, the Radiant Dawn; new skins; and game balance changes have been delayed while we work out a few known issues, and will not be in this patch.

While we know that everyone is extremely excited to play Leona, we want to take the time necessary to ensure that we deliver a quality gameplay update, rather than risk making your first experience with the new champion a negative one. We will be working as expediently as we can to complete our configuration and resolve all issues with the coming gameplay updates. We will be bringing you more information on the release of Leona, the Radiant Dawn; new skins; and game balance changes as soon as we are confident that platform stability is optimal.

Thanks for your patience, and thank you for playing League of Legends!

Leona Patch Delayed until Wednesday Night / Thursday Morning

Posted on at 9:21 PM by Moobeat
The next patch, containing Leona, has been delayed to tomorrow; Wednesday night - Thursday morning.

We wanted to let you know that we’re postponing our latest patch by one day. We discovered a few bugs late in our development process, and we want to take an additional day to get things right. We plan to have the patch ready by tomorrow so we can deploy in the early morning hours the following day, on Thursday, July 7. This is a tentative date; if we don’t think you’ll be happy with the update, we’ll delay further.

We will have a patch preview video accompanying this patch. Should the day of the patch change, we will let you know immediately. We apologize for not informing you earlier, but as mentioned before, we identified these bugs only recently. We want only to deliver the best experience possible to you, and we want to take extra time to make sure everything is perfect.

Thank you for understanding, and thank you for playing League of Legends! See you on the Fields of Justice soon!

Three Pieces of News for the Click of One

Posted on at 2:35 PM by Moobeat
Lots of little news posts for you from late today until today! Enjoy.

First off, we have a few excerpts from the @Ezreal, a thread by Ezreal opening himself up to summoner questions and comments. The first is in relation to Rabadon's Deathcap and the second is a question asking on how other ranged carries can compete with the likes of Ashe and Corki.
 [ on Deathcap ]
"Deathcap is going to be nerfed this next patch, it came out too poweful and we are now going to nerf it."
[ on Ashe and Corki ]
"Right now we are looking at pulling Ashe and Corki back, and the lesser used carries up to a blissful medium. For example, this upcoming patch will have Ezreal and Kog'Maw 'feel' improvements. These are not meant to make them much more powerful, but rather it will make them more responsive. Given time we will get him in line with the other more used ranged carries."
- Ezreal, Game Designer, via the official forums.

Secondly, It looks like we are going to be getting a champion spotlight, a quick rundown of how a champion functions and it's abilities, for Kayle after she receives her upcoming rework. This is fairly typical of new champions, but this would be the first gun through for a "classic" champion.
"Due to time constraints in the video itself and the roles of choice for the general playerbase, I'll be spotlighting "attack" Kayle over support Kayle. I'll mention that she can play full support and that she does in fact support a little even while playing as a carry, but the focus will be on mad deeps."
- Phreak, Community Coordinator, via the official forums.

Phreak has also confirmed that the Leona patch will not be pushed out Monday night as a result of the 4th of July holiday.
"Will not be coming Monday night."

Clarification and Time frame for Twisted Fate Change

Posted on at 1:58 AM by Moobeat

It looks like Twisted Fate's global ultimate will be getting thumped soon rather than later. The planned change, which is a step to minimize the hard pressed balancing of global ultimates, will leave the Global Reveal of Destiny, but limit the range on the actual teleport. No numbers yet, but I can only assume something in the same vein of Nocturne. Check out a few posts below, from Morello, that globally reveal this subject ( damn, I'm clever ).

[ on time frame ]
Actually, yes! I think we can get this in the next patch or two - the tech is looking good. While this means a good, solid TF nerf (maybe coupled with buffs, have to see if needed)....this means one very important thing....

Pantheon can be buffed/fixed!
[ on exact changes ]
Retain Global Reveal on Destiny, limited range on Gate. The complete lack of consideration on positioning is why I hate true global teleports and feel they cause the same psychology as stealth.
- Morello, Lead Champion Designer, via the official forums.
