Below you will find a comprehensive list of new content, balance changes, and whatever else  is included in the current PBE cycle! Be aware that these changes are extremely tentative, there is a possibility that things you see below will be changed or even reverted prior to the live patch.

Pantheon is now testing in TFT on the PBE!
  • Tier 5
  • Dragon
  • Guardian
  • Grand Starfall: "Pantheon leaps into the air and then crashes down on the furthest enemy, stunning it and dealing % max health damage to everything on the way."

New Color Control and Screen Shake Options 

Here's Riot Reinboom with details on new options testing on the PBE:
"Hello! 
A few new options will be showing up in your options menu on PBE soon, shipping with 9.17 if all goes well. These options can all be found under ‘Video’. 
The options:

  • Enable Screen Shake (defaults to on)
    • Turning this off will remove the screen shake caused by, for example, Pulsefire Ezreal's recall or Ornn's ultimate. 
  • Color Level, Gamma, Brightness, and Contrast (all of these are sliders)
    • These options control the overall appearance of the game except for the UI, allowing you to either diminish or highlight visual differences in game quickly.
    • These options are pretty standard fare in many games and should all work similarly to what you're used to.
Why 
Options like this often get overlooked in many games, but for many players who need them they can be vital to making their gaming experience comfortable or even possible. We're interested in adding more options like this in the future if these first few improve folks' game experiences in the way we're expecting. 
Please try these new settings out in your PBE games, let us know what you think, and what other options we should explore!"

Miscellaneous 

  • The file for Elderwood Nocturne's special loading screen is incorrect, and shows an image of a woman with a giant gun (?). [This has since been patched out!]
  • Eternals are now testing on the PBE! Check out these /Dev blog or this FAQ for more info!
    
                                  

Balance Changes

NOTE*: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, & experimental changes. Be aware that what you see below may be relative to other changes earlier this cycle! These are not official notes.

Champions

Aurelion Sol
[Changelist - Highly experimental, no guarantee to ship! Back for more testing this cycle!]
  • Center of the Universe (Passive)
    • Damage changed from [20-130] to [16/18/20/22/24/27/30/35/40/45/50/60/70/80/90/100/110/120]
    • AP ratio changed from [18-35% (based on level)] to 25%
  • Starsurge (Q)
    • Cooldown changed from 10 to 11/10/9/8/7
    • movement speed increased from 10% to 20%
    • If Aurelion Sol is faster than his Q, the missile will speed up to keep up.
  • Celestial Expansion (W)
    • [New] Now causes Aurelion Sol's stars to expand, gaining increased damage and rotating at high, but decaying, speed. Upon reactivating or after 3 seconds, the stars retract, granting 40% movement speed, decaying over 1.5s.
    • Cooldown:  8/6.5/5/3.5/2
    • Mana Cost changed from [40+22/24/26/28/30 per second] to [70/80/90/100/110]
  • Comet of Legend (E)
    • [Removed] Passive movement speed
    • Range increased from 3000/4000/5000/6000/7000 to 5500/6000/6500/7000/7500
    • Cooldown changed from 60/55/50/45/40 to 80/70/60/50/40
    • Speed changed from 600 to 600/650/700/750/800

Garen

  • Attack speed per level increased from 2.9% to 3%
  • Perseverance (Passive)
    • [Removed] No longer doubles below (25/50%) health
    • Cooldown changed from 9/4 to 6 at all ranks
    • Changed from  [non-epic monsters don't break passive at level 11] to [non-epic monsters never break it]
    • Heal amount changed from [2%/8%] to [2.5/2.75/3/3.25/3.5/3.75/4.5/5.25/6/6.75/7.5/8.25/9/9.25/9.5/9.75/10/10.25%] 
  • Courage (W) 
    • Resists per stack lowered from .33 to .25
    • Resists cap lowered from 50 to 30
    • Minion kills to max stacks increased from 150 to 160
  • Judgment (E)
    • Tick changed from [5+1 per 3 levels (max 10)] to [8+1 per 25% attack speed]
      • "Garen gains 51%*** attack speed by level 18."
    • Base damage changed from 14/18/22/26/30 to 9/15/21/27/33
