New Champion: Qiyana

Our newest champion, Qiyana, is now testing on the PBE! Before we get into the full details, here's Riot Szymba with a bug thread for reporting any issues:
"Hello everyone!
The newest champion Qiyana is now available on the PBE! We are still hard at work polishing her up and fixing bugs for her release. If you happen to come across something odd during your time playing as, with, or against Qiyana on the PBE, please let us know through the Report a Bug Tool with a description of what happened and whatever other information you can provide.
I'll be looking through this thread and the reports from the tool for the rest of the 9.13 cycle and beyond.

For an introduction, check out this informative video from Youtuber/Streamer DisguisedToast:

Here's Riot SapMagic with a context thread for the new mode - "Teamfight Tactics is coming to PBE for testing!"
"Good afternoon, tacticians!
If you've been following along, you already know that League's new mode, Teamfight Tactics, is on the way soon. Today we're putting the mode on PBE so we can get your eyes on it and start collecting your feedback.
Teamfight Tactics is a round-based strategy game that pits you against seven opponents in a free-for-all race to build a powerful team that fights on your behalf! Your goal: Be the last person standing. Once TFT is live on PBE, you'll be able to log into the League Client and queue up for it like any other mode.
Quick Tips
  1. This is a beta—expect there are going to be bugs. Please help us by pointing them out!
  2. Give us feedback—what do you love, hate, etc? For this mode, we're dedicated to building it with you
  3. Equip some emotes—you don't wanna miss those opportunities for juicy BM when you defeat someone on your battlefield
  4. Repeat #2
  5. ???
  6. Profit!

Thanks in advance for all your help and feedback, and we hope we'll see you in the arena!"
I'm the best.

  • Choose a champion from the store and recruit them with gold. Then, drag them from the bench to the battlefield to deploy them. Combine three of the same champion to create a stronger, two-star version of that champion.
  • Champions have traits and earn bonuses when deployed with other champs that share those traits. Positioning matters! Experiment with different layouts to find the best results.
  • Each round, your team teleports to an enemy's arena (or vice-versa). Champions fight automatically, and if your team is defeated, your Little Legend takes damage. When your Little Legend's health reaches 0, you're out of the game.

    Damage Text Changes

Here's Riot Greenily with details on damage text changing coming to test on the PBE:
"Hi everyone! I’m Riot Greenily, a UX designer working on League of Legends. I’ve worked on things such as Nexus Blitz, the new stat panel, the stat runes, and more. I wanted to share a small, but highly visible, update to the game experience that will be on PBE today and ship during the 9.13 patch.
We're changing the appearance of the damage text you see when dealing physical, magic, and true damage, as well as their crit styles. You can see how they will look below:

    Physical Damage and Crits
    Magic Damage and Crits
Here are our goals with the changes:
      • We’ve changed the damage text color in order to shift towards consistency throughout the League experience. Damage and crit text has been standardized from four colors into three unique colors. This means you should be able to tell at a glance what type of damage is being done, even if it’s a crit. The crit icon has also been updated to match the style you see in the stats panel.
      • As we work on future in-game updates, we want to make sure our system of stats and colors makes sense. The colors of physical and magic damage text should now feel more related to AD and AP stat colors respectively.
      • We also want to hit clarity and readability of the damage text. This iteration of colors should make damage type differentiation more clear. If you commonly pay attention to damage text, we hope this helps you. If you don’t, this shouldn’t affect your experience negatively.
      • We’re testing some changes to the animation style of crit texts to make the initial hit really pop and seem impactful. With the change of both color and animations, we hope crits will feel more satisfying.
    In terms of feedback:
We'd love if you could share your feedback with us—especially after you've played with this change for a few days. Even if you don't normally pay attention to combat text, the changes could feel a little jarring, but we hope it's positive overall.
With that in mind, please give us your thoughts on the readability of the text specifically. Eg: Does the color of the text get lost to you in game? If you’re colorblind, do you feel that this is an improvement from the old text colors?
Thanks for your patience as we go forth with this change. Your feedback is appreciated in making the game better!"

    • Riot Jag provided an update on the experimental Teemo changes that tested for last few months on the PBE:

"Hey all, wanted to update you on where we're at with the Teemo changes we were experimenting with.
After a lot of feedback from players, we're going to pull out the changes. Some Teemo players liked them, some hated them, and we weren't comfortable shipping something without the entire playerbase being happy about it. I'm looking into a few small QoL changes we could try as a follow-up in the near future.
Thanks for everyone who played him on PBE, we really appreciate it!?"
