1/6 PBE Update: Japanese Content on PBE, skin tweaks, tons of new esports summoner icons, and more

(Warning: PBE Content is tentative and iterative - what you see may not reflect what eventually gets pushed to live servers! Manage your expectations accordingly. )

With the Japanese server being opened in the near future, looks like the Japanese localization of the game has hit the PBE, including client & text translations, champion select quotes, and more! This will be worked on over the next several weeks on the PBE and the is currently no release date for the Japanese server.

"Hey everyone, 

In the most recent PBE update, you probably have spotted some of the content that we’re working on for the upcoming launch of our Japan server. While we don’t have a specific date for the launch of the server just yet, we're still on track and we’re all working really hard to get everything in order to provide the best experience for Japanese players. 

A couple of notes to mention:

• Champion VO Files for Kindred and Illaoi are not loaded yet so there are no voices for these champions.
• New VO lines for Demon Vi have also not been loaded.
• Various tooltips for abilities, masteries, runes and items are still being worked on and are not in their final state.
• Text input on Mac is not supported
• Search functionality on Mac is still being worked on so players should expect to see errors 

We’ll be adding and editing content throughout the next couple of weeks here on PBE as well so stay tuned for more information.
