Yep we're actually looking to prototype something soon for a new Katarina W.
We've got dynamic tooltips for a whole bunch of these (Archangel's Staff, Force of Nature, Atma's Impaler, Deathfire Grasp and possibly one or two more I can't remember at the moment) in the works. Not sure if they're in the current patch or not, should be pretty soon if not though.
Don't think we did one for Deathcap though, will pass that suggestion on.

Athene's Unholy Grail will not be coming next patch, but look for it soon.
- The Mana ratios on Overload and Rune Prison nerfed.
- Spell Flux gains Mana:Damage ratio.
- Overloads Base Damage and AP ratio going up.
- Spell Flux prioritizes enemy champions.
- Tweaks to base stats, spell ranges, and spell ranges to make him "more consistent with other mages".
- His ult no longer gives passive bonus mana, instead it gives bonus movement speed.
- Death Fire Grasp is losing it's Mp5 but is gaining additional ability power. The recipe now ncludes a blasting wand in its build.
- Morello's Evil Tome now builds out of Kage's Lucky Pick instead of a blasting wand and now includes a healing reduction activate similar to Executioner's Calling.
- Will of the Ancients includes a blasting wand and total cost going up.

We are pleased to announce that we’re closing the books on our Spectator Mode beta and moving into our full release. In the coming patch, we’re rolling out some exciting new features that will bring your experience spectating games to the next level. In the full release of Spectator Mode you’ll be able to jump to specific points in the action with Timeshift controls, allow the computer to control your perspective through Directed Camera, and spectate your friends’ games that are already in progress. You can even watch top players by selecting from a number of Featured Games pre-selected for you on the PvP.net landing page.
Spectate Your Friends
In the full release of Spectator Mode you’ll now have the option to drop in and watch a friend’s game that’s currently underway. To select this option, simply right click on their nameplate in your Friends List, and select the “Spectate Game” option to begin watching. You will immediately join the selected game with the standard, three-minute delay already factored in. There’s no limit on how many players are allowed to observe a friend’s game in this manner.
Featured Games
Interested in watching a few matches featuring players at the very top of League of Legends? When you load the client, you’ll now have a list of live Featured Games that you can view. These games showcase some of the best players that League of Legends has to offer, so be sure to check them out any time you’re interested in viewing some high-level play. There is no limit on how many players can observe a featured game.
Timeshift Controls
We know how frustrating missing an important moment while viewing a heated battle on the Fields of Justice can be. So to prevent you from ever missing a beat, we’ve added the Timeshift controls to Spectator Mode. Through Timeshift you can rewind, slow down, or even pause the live game you’re observing to take in all the action at your own pace. Once you’re done, you can fast forward or jump ahead to catch back up with the progress of the match.
Directed Camera
By engaging Directed Camera mode you can allow the computer to guide your perspective, automatically selecting the most interesting action on the field. While this mode is engaged, the computer will analyze everything that is currently happening in the game and select the most significant event, whether it’s First Blood, a team fight or a baron attempt. You can even select a specific player that you’d like the Directed Camera to focus on, or jump to another event by pressing the space bar.

| Minor Irelia buffs in time for her new skin? Yippee. |
Hello all, sorry for the delayed response but here I am! Irelia is a touchy subject on the forums so I thought I'd provide some insight on what we think about Irelia currently. Irelia is a very interesting character in the fact that while she seems like a pretty standard fighter, she has a completely different play style compared to most other fighters and because of that she has an interesting power curve. I feel like most players don't utilize this power to its full potential and thus when she's extremely powerful players don't understand why we change her.
In high tier play Irelia is very powerful because: 1) She is an extremely durable champion who can use her mobility and sustainability to avoid ganks and has a pretty decent time laning against most top lanes in the game. 2) Utilizing the power of Hiten Style, because primarily all of Irelia's damage comes from Hiten Style she can do things like build an entire rune page of mitigation stats to counter her opponent, as an example if she's vs a Gankplank she can fill her entire rune page up with armor to completely shut down Gangplank's damage while not sacrificing much because she's primarily doing true damage. This makes her incredibly hard to counter in draft mode and making her an extremely good counter to a lot of champions.
This is why in high tier you see Irelia build something like Wit's End and then follow up with full tank items, her passive enables her to constantly keep auto attacking with Hiten Style and the tanky items enable her to stay in a fight without dying. While Wit's End gives her all the attack speed she needs to put out enough damage with Hiten Style. This makes her EXTREMELY potent versus high CC with low damage compositions.
Executing this entire strategy is somewhat rare in most games because A) you're not always in draft mode to see who your opponent is, and B) most players miss certain key steps that really make Irelia powerful.
Doing things such as making sure your W is active before you use Q is extremely important, in addition to attack moving while your Hiten Style is up to get as much true damage out of it as possible.
Now to get the point:
Pre-Nerf Irelia was very hard to deal with because of the explanation above, we wanted to reduce her sustain but keep her damage the same so she can still be aggressive but not win her lane because she's sustaining through auto attacking creeps.
While I think the sustain change was successful, i'll be the first to admit that we did not consider how weak her 1-4 is without being able to fall back on her sustain and as a result she gets bullied very hard at that point in the game right now making it hard for her to get off the ground. I've talked to Wickd a lot about what Irelia's problems are after the nerfs and after talking to him we're going to be increasing Irelia's base stats to get her through the early levels more safely. While not a large change, I feel pretty confident that this will help her greatly and make her a better choice in a lot more situations.
So, I talked more to the skins team about this - something pretty exciting to add.
As you've seen with Gangplank and Kayle, we've been trying to redo some of our old, outdated-looking models. Ashe is next up on this treatment, and with that should come the Purple arrows.
The reason to wait for this is that particles, model and animations are all really closely tied together - and when we change the model, a lot of the "how things work" has to be redone anyhow. It's really simple to add it in there, and you get a sweet new Ashe base too!
