Below you will find a comprehensive list of new content, balance changes, and whatever else  is included in the current PBE cycle! Be aware that these changes are extremely tentative, there is a possibility that things you see below will be changed or even reverted prior to the live patch.

Evelynn Champion Update

After multiple teasers, Evelynn's champion update is now on the PBE for testing - this is a LARGE scope champion update complete with new gameplay, visuals, updated skins, voiceover, and more!

Demon Shade (Passive)
After not attacking, casting spells, or taking damage for 4 seconds, Evelynn enshrouds herself in her Demon Shade. 
Demon Shade: While below x (+250% AP) health, Evelynn recovers x health per second. From level 6 onward, Demon Shade also grants Camouflage.
    • Health: 250/270/290/310/330/350/370/390/410/430/450/470/490/510/530/550/570/590
    • Health Recovery: 15/17/19/21/23/25/27/29/31/34/36/38/40/42/44/46/48/50

Hate Spike (Q)
8 sec Cooldown
Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 Mana
Evelynn's Lasher strikes in the target direction, dealing 25/30/35/40/45 (+30% AP) magic damage to the first unit hit and causing Evelynn's next 3 spells or attacks on that unit deal 10/20/30/40/50 (+25% AP) bonus magic damage. Then, Evelynn can recast this ability up to 3 times. 
Recast: Fires spikes through the nearest enemy, dealing 25/30/35/40/45 (+30% AP) magic damage to all units hit. 
Refunds 60% of Hate Spike's cooldown if the Lasher hits a monster. Hate Spike prioritizes the target Evelynn is attacking.

Allure (W)
14/13/12/11/10 sec Cooldown
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Mana
Curses target champion or monster for 5 seconds. If Evelynn hits the target with a basic attack or ability, she will expunge the Curse, refund its mana cost, and briefly slow the target by 65% 
If the Curse lasts at least 2.5 seconds, expunging it Charms the target for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2. second(s) and: 
  • Against champions: shreds Magic Resist by 25/27.5/30/32.5/35% for 4 seconds.
  • Against monsters: deals 250/300/350/400/450 (+60% AP)  magic damage. Charm duration increased by 2 seconds. 
Casting Allure does not remove Evelynn from Demon Shade.

Whiplash (E)
8 sec Cooldown
Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 Mana
Whip target with Lashers, applying on hit effects and dealing magic damage equal to 30/45/60/75/90 plus 4% (+3% per 100 AP) of their max health. Then, gain 30% movement speed for 2 seconds. 
Entering Demon Shade resets Whiplash's cooldown and empowers it. When empowered, Whiplash pulls Evelynn to her target, dealing magic damage to them and enemies in the way equal to 60/80/100/120/140 plus 6% (+4% per 100 AP) of their max health.

Last Caress (R)
140/110/80 sec Cooldown
Cost: 100 Mana
Evelynn unleashes her demonic energy, becoming untargetable and decimating enemies in front of her. She then warps backwards. Deals 150/275/400 (+75% AP) magic damage, increased to 300/550/800 (+150% AP) to enemies below 30% health.

She lures in prey with the voluptuous fa├žade of a human female, but once a person succumbs to her charms, Evelynn's true form is unleashed. She then subjects her victim to unspeakable torment, gratifying herself with their pain. To the demon, these liaisons are innocent flings. To the rest of Runeterra, they are ghoulish tales of lust gone awry and horrific reminders of the cost of wanton desire."

New Summoner Icons

A new summoner icon appeared on the PBE! No details on availability, although it seems to be connected to the rune system.

Five new Super Galaxy summoner icons are now also on the PBE:

[This new ward skin has no name in the files, but it looks like the exclusive ward skin for anyone owning special legacy runes or who spent at least 125,000 IP on runes!]

Runes Reforged

[As of the 10/5 PBE Update, the Runes Reforged system has been removed. This should return for testing in Patch 7.21!]

Runes Reforged on the PBE! Be aware runes will stay on the PBE for about 3 cycles instead of one - consider rune values and effects tentative and subject to change!
NOTE: While we populate all the detailed information on the new Runes system, makes sure to take a look at the Preseason Update: Forge Your Path minisite for a look at the changes.

[IMPORTANT NOTE: The Runes Reforged calculator on the Preseason minisite is out of date, and therefore you will see a mismatch in values and sometimes effects vs. what we have pulled from the PBE. Keep this in mind as you look through the PBE coverage! As usual, we will have daily coverage of changes to the PBE and will try to keep the runes values as up to date as possible!]

The new Runes are now on PBE! We're going to have an extra long PBE cycle for Runes so that we can gather your feedback and make changes. Please expect bugs, missing assets and weird numbers! 
Runes currently includes the following experiences: 
The Inventory 
Accessed from the "Runes" tab under Collection and dedicated to browsing and organizing (soon TM) created pages in the client. 
The ability to create, edit and delete new pages from the inventory or from champion select. Includes "line mode" and "grid mode" (grid mode pictured below) as well as short and long tooltips. 
Loading Screen
Updated assets showing teammate and opponent keystones and secondary Paths 
In Game
Yeah there's a lot here.
  • Runes (Keystones and normal runes, VFX and audio additions where important)
  • Runes panel
  • Base stat adjustments
  • Jungle tuning 
Runes do not yet include:
  • End of Game adjustments
  • Spectator mode adjustments 
Known Issues
(It is also a known issue that my formatting is bad) 
  • Editing: 2 clicks are required on a secondary Path to display the bonus stat.
  • Editing: Re-selecting secondary runes requires clicking the specific rune to de-select it and open up options (in both Line and Grid mode).
  • Editing: Open primary Path drawers sometimes close when selecting a rune in a different drawer.
  • Editing: The secondary Path icon stopped showing up in its home circle at 
  • Loading Screen: Currently shows both Primary and Secondary path instead of just keystone & secondary path. Also looks butts. 
  • In Game: Pinging the Runes UI does not properly display runes UI
  • In Game: Runes icon for bonus stat is small and squished in the bottom right 
  • Champion Select: The champion select dropdown has a pretty annoying bug we're working on where it's not properly switching equipped pages. Double check that you have the right page by opening the editing panel and using the dropdown within that as well so you don't end up in game with the wrong page. 
If you have feedback, questions or comments about runes please leave them below! The team will be monitoring this thread for your help catching bugs and iterating on all of runes. For in game feedback, it's very helpful for us if you also provide a screenshot of your in game runes panel AND the time your game ended (see example image below) as well as any details you think relevant. 

Simultaneous Draft Picks are now enabled on PBE! 

Here's Riot SapMagic with more on Simultaneous Draft picks on the PBE:
"Hey friends, it's ya boy SapMagic back at it again with some Champ Select changes coming to a client near you very soon. We just activated simultaneous draft picks on PBE for testing. We posted about these a few days ago if you need a refresher. 

Now, when your team has back-to-back actions in Champ Select, they will happen simultaneously, illustrated below on the right by light-gray boxes behind the circles. 
Jump into a draft pick game on PBE and let us know how it feels for you!"

Changes to gameflow now on PBE! 

Here's chupaacabra with some changes to the gameflow in testing now on the PBE:
"Hello PBE friends! QA analyst Chupaacabra here. 
Are you sick of having to re-invite your party members on the end of game screen or when you change game modes?
Do you want us to remember your position preferences so you don’t have to keep selecting them when you’re spamming draft games? 
Hopefully the answer is yes to both because we are fixin’ this stuff. 
Now on PBE: 
The party captain can change game modes for the party without having to re-invite them. If you’re a party member, you hear a little sound, and BOOP you’re in the new mode. No need to accept another invite. 
Party members can now click “Play Again” on the EOG screen to return to the lobby—until you click it, everyone in your lobby will see that you are “not ready”. Click “Play Again”, when you’re “ready” to play. After all party members are ready, the party captain can enter matchmaking. 
Your position preferences will be remembered through gameflow. So if you’re playing multiple Ranked games (or draft games, anything with position select) we’ll remember your positions from game to game when you click “Play Again”. You’ll have to pick them again if you change game modes or relog. 
NOTE: This gameflow will occur in Normal Draft, Ranked Flex, Solo/duo, and SR Blind on PBE. If you’re in a different game mode, like ARAM, you’ll simply use the old gameflow of having to re-invite people. We’re working on getting this flow into all queues.

We’re looking for any bugs you may run into while testing on PBE. Post your bug in this thread with any repro steps you have. Screenshots, video or logs are also always appreciated to help us track down the problem!"

Leveling PBE Feedback Thread

Here's Riot Ranger XIV with a feedback thread for the leveling system changes that went into testing with the Runes Reforged update:

We really want to know how everyone feels about the new leveling changes. So please, let us know what you think :D 
Here’s what you should expect to see on PBE:
Earn XP for playing matchmade games: You should see how much XP you earned on the end of game scoreboard, including bonus XP if you completed the First Win of the Day mission. Note, custom games are not eligible for XP. 
Level up: When you level up, you should receive a capsule. These capsules are full of different loot depending on what level you’ve hit. You can open them up in loot and see all the cool stuff you’ve gotten. 
View current level progress: We also updated the profile page to show you XP to level and also on your icon in the top right of your screen! 
Lastly, if you see a bug you can report it here and I will look into it. Thank you very much everyone and look forward to the comments!

[Preseason Note: Patch 7.20 on the PBE was the start of the Preseason update and the reveal of the Runes Reforged system! Many balance changes were in testing, and will continue testing through the next few patches. At the end of each cycle, the system and all changes will be reverted to prepare for the live patch deploy. Since these are not yet heading to live, here is a document showing all changes that have been reverted for now and will return in a later PBE cycle!]


  • Blaze (Passive)
    • [New Effect] If Brand kills an enemy that is already ablaze he gains x mana.
