4/21 PBE Update: Splash Tweaks, Tentative Balance Changes & More

The PBE has been updated! As we continue the 12.8 PBE cycle, today's patch includes splash & chroma asset tweaks, tentative balance changes & more!

Solar Eclipse Sejuani's splash art was tweaked:


  • Sun Eater Kayle's chroma assets updated

Balance Changes

NOTE*: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, & potentially experimental changes. Be aware that what you see below may be relative to other changes from earlier this cycle! These are not official notes and may be incomplete.

  • Trueshot Barrage (R) 
    • cooldown changed from 120 to 120/105/90

  • Bountiful Harvest (W)
    • healing against champions increased from 30/35/40/45/50 to 30/40/50/60/70

  • base HP lowered from 610 to 560

  • Second Skin (Passive)
    • missing health damage ratio increased from 2.5% per 100 AP to 5% per 100 AP
  • Void Seeker (W)
    • AP ratio lowered from 70% to 45%
  • Killer Instinct (R)
    • AP ratio increased from 75% to 100%

  • Steadfast Presence (W)
    • Cooldown lowered from 24/22/20/18/16 to 20/18/16/14/12
  • Keeper's Verdict (R)
    • R1 knockup duration increased from .75s to 1s
    • R2 missile speed increased from 2000 to 2500
    • R2 Knockback distance increased from increased from 2400 to 3400
    • R Channel refund lowered lowered from 30s to 15s

  • Fury of the North (Passive)
    • Cooldown changed from 12 to 12-6 based on level

  • Astral Infusion (W)
    • Heal lowered from 100/135/170/205/240 (+70% AP) to 100/130/160/190/220 (+65% AP)

  • AD Per Level increased from 3.3 to 3.7

  • Base Armor increased from 23 to 27

  • Double Daggers (Q)
    • Cooldown increased from 10/9/8/7/6 to 10/9.5/9/8.5/8
    • Damage lowered from 45/65/85/105/125 to 45/60/75/90/105

Changes we did make:
  • Changed name to Sun-Eater Kayle
  • Changed wing eye VFX from green to maroon-pink
  • Bug fixes, including to the VO filter"

Lunar Eclipse Senna

"Update: Thanks all for your feedback! After our team discussed, we'll be making the following changes:
  • We'll be brightening Senna's hair, but we'll be keeping the blue tint. The intention there is the blue maps to moonlight.
  • Senna's Q's Runes were brightened and timing on screen has been slowed down.
  • Added details and runes to E.
  • Timing on the W was changed and additional elements were added.

Gangplank the Betrayer
Thanks everyone for the feedback! After discussing with the team, we'll be making the following changes:
  • Beard was darken to match the splash
  • Tattoos will now glow. Please note, we'll try our best to get this change onto his chromas by this patch, but there's a chance we won't make it in time. It'll be in the next patch at the latest.
  • His passive now has black mist
  • Cannon balls have been adjusted in R to fill up the area of effect more.
  • R SFX for Death's Daughter has been adjusted to feel more heavy hitting
  • Cannon ball in Death's Daughter has been adjusted to visually feel more heavy hitting
  • Explosion VFX for crit barrels have been adjusted to look more dangerous than non-crit barrels

"Post PBE cycle edit: 
We have adjusted multiple glows & idle VFX are now unique per chroma:
- Kayle: swords, lower wings, eyes on the main sets of wings
- Aatrox: hand, chest piece, sword, back element, particles on sword during Dance emote,
- Gangplank tattoos are glowing uniquely per chroma (also have shape cut adequately to his clothes), his kegs & chest on recall are now unique
- Yasuo: tentacle and hair glows are now unique
- Sejuani: weapon glow is unique per chroma
- Sivir Boomerang Blade (Q) projectile now is properly colored while On the Hunt (R) is active

Lunar Eclipse Senna Prestige Edition

"Post PBE Cycle edit: 
Hey folks, 
We have decided to make a following adjustments to Prestige Lunar Eclipse Senna: 
- added gold overlay on the body and additional pattern on the ground during recall
- color saturation on Piercing Darkness (Q) & Last Embrace (W) bumped a bit
- new patters on Last Embrace (W) & Curse of the Black Mist (E) on ground VFX
- added a small gold pattern on the back of her legs

  • Modified the Idle and transitions to differentiate more from base
  • VFX update to Ult (R)
  • Bug fixes"
