5/22 PBE Update: Pyke Splash Tweaks & New Summoner Icon

The PBE has been updated! As we continue the 8.11 PBE cycle, today's patch includes tweaks to Pyke's base splash art, a new summoner icon, and more tentative balance changes!

Splash Art Tweaks

Pyke's base splash art has been tweaked, including a small change to his eyes.

New Summoner Icon

A cuddly new summoner icon is now on the PBE. No details on availability yet!

Balance Changes

Context & Notes

1) EndlessPillows, Pyke's designer, provided some context on the changes to Pyke's R in the 5/21 PBE update:
"Hey all, 
Just to add some context: while this is a nerf, it's not as bad as it looks. 
Just before PBE, Pyke's R also had an additional mechanic on it: it could never deal more than 30% of a target's max HP. We removed that cap just before we went to PBE to see if we could do without it. Unfortunately, if Pyke get's really far ahead, his ult can get ridiculous. Dealing 80% of someone's max health in an AoE resetting ult was a bit nuts. 
We also saw that because the AD ratio was so high, any Pyke who fell behind (even slightly) in kills would lose A LOT of power. 
So we wanted to do two things:
  1.  Reduce how insane Pyke's ult can get when he is super far ahead
  2. Increase the power of the ult early in a manner that is accessible to a Pyke who is behind (bonus: help soften whatever nerf we need to do because of thing 1
For number 1, we reduced the ratio of the spell. 
For number 2, we increased how much base damage the spell gives you between level 6-11. This is accessible to all Pyke's, because your bonus AD isn't nearly as big of a factor at this point of the game. 
The purpose and the theme of the spell is "If Pyke or their team can get someone below a life threshold, and Pyke can land his skill shot, he wins". Because the ratio was so high, players were instead looking at it as "How can I make that threshold trivial". 
If Pyke ends up being under powered because of this change, we will likely look to buff the damage of his base kit. This would increase his effectiveness when he doesn't have ult ready, and also gives players more tools to get people into ult range instead of just making ult range not really matter."
