New recall animation for Slay Belle Kat is up on the PBE as well.

Does anyone know how to report a bug? I noticed that when Vi charges her Q and gets silenced by Garen or Cho'gath her Q gets stuck and can't basic attack. Neither, after the silence time she is unable to activate her Q until she uses another ability.

This recall is just not good. It feels rushed. I understand why they removed the original recall for Slay Belle, it didn't fit her theme, etc. Here she still has the pole (Don't know where that came from -.-). But, it is bad. Make something EXTREMELY special, don't make these bad animations. Riot is just being lazy. An example: Make her plant her knives to the ground, they grow into christmas trees, and then a giant santa sled comes and picks her up (Because she has the reindeer horns things on her head.) And then she returns to base. There, something creative... I know Riot can do such things if not much better, they're just extremely LAZY.

I don't know, I kinda like the new recall animation. Its referenced towards Tatami map cutting (not sure of its official name/Japanese name), so its bound to look a little boring, but I like how its referenced towards it, even if it doesn't really match the skin.

Does anyone have the original "Candy Cane Pole" recall animation files backed up? I searched in the archive files(.raf) but had no luck. Would be great is someone actually saved that well done animation.Then we could just replace this sad excuse of an animation for that beautiful artwork.

Well, Looks like they killed Kat's christmas skin almost.. Almost.

If you haven't noticed yet, the blue, red and Baron Nashor buffs are in PBE again, after their removal.

Tatami mat cutting was used to test the sharpness and cutting power of a japanese katana. Which is irrelevant to this new skin. It would be a more apporpriate recal animation for Yi not Slay Bell Kat.

Except that's not what it's supposed to be. It's that samurai cliche of cutting bamboo cleanly. Having everything phallic in shape be a depiction of cutting off male genitalia means you have your mind in the gutter. What about street lamps? Does holding one make Jax gay?

That's a nice generalization. This is boring but the old recall being bought by everyone would have proved that Riot's fanbase consists of horny teenagers who play female champs and buy their skins only because of T&A.

A penta means absolutely nothing on the PBE. Vi hybrid is horrible just like all the other "hybrid" champ builds. If you try to go both ap and ad you are gimping yourself. And why would you go hybrid with Vi?!? She has no abilities that scale with AP. Thats a total waste of gold to build anything AP on her thinking it is better then a straight AD bruiser type build. If I see anyone in champ select who goes "Derp i is ap vi herp. dunt worri i is guud." i will dodge immediately. Name any hybrid champ that is successful in high elo play. Not talking about troll builds in normal, and Gunblade Akali isn't hybrid. I just dont get what will benefit Vi going with any AP whatsoever. Its mind boggling why people use these builds. Go to LoL wikia and look at her abilites, they literally ALL scale with AD. No AP at ALL.

Since her nm is sleigh bell Katarina how about doing a reindeer dance with sleigh bells that will be teh day

I'm sorry, but this entire skin just doesn't fit with Christmas entirely, not just the stripper pole dance, but the ENTIRE skin. It's a slut with reindeer antlers, so why not let the slut stay slutty by keeping her slutty recall. The recall fit a hell of a lot better with the skin than this does, this feels rushed, and lazy like others have stated, it's too slow, I might've liked it if it was faster, but this one makes even less sense than the last recall. It seems they just created this skin for pure fan service anyways, so why stray far away from the original idea, especially since Riot has rarely done anything against somewhat sexualized content in the past. Overall, disappointed with this years Christmas skins, I'm fine with the Ziggs skin, but Fiddle, Kat and Veigar getting skins when other champions clearly need more skin love just makes me sad.

Instead of working on a recall animation how bout you finish the Veigar and Fiddle skin so you can release them already before christmas is over.

That recall is flippin' hilarious and amazing and I think Riot is just reveling in the delicious tears of the creeps who whined endlessly about the original's removal. Sometimes, I guess the crappiness of the LoL community gets even the game's creators in a troll-y mood.

It is just sad that they rushed it. Since they worked alot on the pole etc. I can understand it if they don't want to remove it, but this way, it just looks stupid and doesn't even make sense. "Yay, suddenly a candy pole comes out of the ground and Katarina slashed at it, so genius!... not."
They should give MF the old Recall instead and make a whole new animation for Kata. Or rework the whole Kata Skin, it's terrible and could need more work.

Bah! I didn't like the original recall because it was too gratuitous, but this is just awful. It looks obviously rushed. Here, wanna' keep her "anime" roots (she has shunpo ffs) and the candy cane? Have her draw it up like original and then shunpo to pose dramatically on top of it. Done! Neat and flavourful. Fits the character well.

If i knew it was gonna be changed to this piece of crap, i would've voted to leave it as it was. Now, it just looks and feels extremely lazy.

switch the trees with the candy canes, (they already have those made) imply santa sled (with audio) and have her jump up to it and at base jump down from it. that version shouldn't need slave labour

To me the skins just says nothing along the lines of "returning to base". Veigar is jumping into a chimney which ports him back, and that's cool. But so far with this new Katarina animation I would be content with nothing new at all and just giving her the normal recall animation that she has on her classic skin. It might be better if she cut down the candy cane in a more threatening or sinister sort of way, but it still would just be too weird I think.

So if anybody's seen the splash art, it shows Kat breaking out of a Christmas box. The following idea was posted on the forums BEFORE the splash art was revealed, and it's amazingly similar thematically with the splash art!

"What if instead of that, four sides of a box appear under her, she
folds up her arms, and then the sides of the box all close around her
and form a present. The present then disappears at the end of the
recall. When she re-appears in the fountain, she cuts herself out out
the present in a spinning slash.

There you go. Still has kind of that show-offy-ness the skin was going
for, but at the same time, she can be a cool fighter when she slashes
the present apart revealing herself. It definitely feels like something
Katarina would do.

Maybe she can do a cutesy wink/wave as she is about to be closed within the present or after she bursts free."

Then at the fountain as she bursts out of the box yell "Surprise!" in a Katarina-esque way.

Give Slay Belle Kat a worthy recall, make the new recall her taunt, everybody should be happy.

The idea is good BUT... I think riot is trying to keep is simple. Think forward of your idea. You are recalling, you're just 1 second before finishing you recall and you get attacked or you cancel the recall. What's going to happen to the animation of Santa picking you up, dissapear?
That'll look really bad. Still supporting your idea about special recalling tho.

Haha, I guess I never thought about that. I was just giving an example of what they COULD do, and it was never a very well developed idea anyways :). Actually, why doesn't Riot just give us a button to choose between 1.) The poledancing animation, 2.) The "Slice da pole in half while looking bored and depressed" animation, or 3.) The original katarina recall... Such a simple idea, yet it would please thousands.of people :).

My opinion the pole dance wasnt even dirty or ruining to her non slutty character. All they had to do was make it a bit more like shes a villain sliding down.at least it would be decent. This they cant even remake the bloody auto attack

You are right. Vi does not do any kind of magical damage. However, her E has AP scaling on her E, even though it deals physicsl damage. As it is kinda hard to stack 600 dmg, and it's still easy to get some good 280-300 dmg with a hybrid build. Well, now you are saying, i build her with Mercs+furor, Guinsoo, Black Cleaver, Hextech Gunblade, Hextech Gauntlet and IE. In other matches i changed the ie for a wits end. I KNOW MAN, NOT MAGIC DAMAGE FFS. JESUS CHRIST! ITS AP STACKED PHYSICAL DAMAGE
