Patch 8.18 Odyssey Content Preview

Assets for the patch 8.18 are ready for the live servers and we've uncovered new splash arts, chroma, summoner icons, and more for the upcoming ODYSSEY event!

As seen in the earlier social media teaser, we have a total of six new champion skins (and chroma) headed our way with Odyssey.

Odyssey 2018 Login Theme

A new login themed around the Odyssey event will be featured on the client!


Game Mode

A new game mode will be going live! Odyssey: Extraction will be played on the new Crash Site map. This is a PvE gamemode!
( note more details forthcoming!)
"Join the crew of the Morningstar on their search for Ora and Adventure in this 5-player co-op battle!"

Here's a few images from a tutorial for the game mode:
 And some descriptions for the tutorial missions:
  • We've been marooned on a strange planet! If we extract enough Ora from the local wildlife, we can repair the Morningstar and escape!
  • Sometimes, an ally will fall in battle. If they do, stand near their body and they'll be up in no time!
  • Play Odyssey: Extraction to unlock Augments, powerful upgrades that you can equip between games. Collect them all, create new builds, and overcome greater challenges!

"Consider this your invite to join the greatest crew in the galaxy. 
Join the crew of the Morning Star for the Odyssey event in League of Legends, which starts September 12 with patch 8.18 and features Odyssey skins for Kayn, Jinx, Yasuo, Malphite, Sona, and Ziggs. The event will include: 
- A Legendary skin for Kayn
- Epic skins for Jinx, Yasuo, Sona, Malphite, and Ziggs
- The return of PvE in Odyssey: Extraction
- Ward skins, emotes, icons, and mission rewards"
