New Champion: Jhin, the VirtuosoOur next champion Jhin, the Virtuoso is now on the PBE for testing!

Death in 4 Acts - Jhin's hand cannon has a fixed attack speed (.63 - increases at ~3% per level) and can be fired 4 times before needing to be reloaded. The 4th bullet always Crits and deals bonus damage equal to 15-25% of the target's missing health.
Every Moment Matters - Critical Strike Chance and Bonus Attack Speed have special scaling:
- Attack Damage is increased by X [ (2-40 based on level)% + (40% of Crit Chance) %+ (25% of bonus attack speed)% of total AD).
- Crits deal reduced damage (150%) but grant Jhin 10% ( +40% of bonus attack speed) movement speed for 2 seconds.

Dancing Grenade (Q)
7/6.5/6/5.5/5 sec Cooldown
Jhin launches a cartridge at the targeted enemy that deals 60/85/110/135/160 (+.3/.35/.4/.45/.5 total AD) (+.6 AP) physical damage before bouncing to a nearby target that has not yet been hit.
The cartridge can hit a maximum of 4 times. Each kill by the cartridge increases the damage of subsequent hits by 35%.
Deadly Flourish (W)
14 sec Cooldown
Jhin fires a long range shot that stops on the first champion hit, dealing 50/85/120/155/190 (+.7 Total AD) physical damage to it, and 65% of that damage to minions and monsters hit along the way.
If Deadly Flourish strikes a champion that has been hit by one of Jhin's basic attacks, Lotus Traps, or allies within the last 4 seconds it will root them for .75/1/1.25/1.50/1.75 seconds and grants Jhin movement speed as though he had crit them.
Captive Audience (E)
2 sec Cooldown
Jhin places an invisible Lotus Trap at the target location that lasts 2 minutes and activates when stepped on, revealing nearby enemies for 4 seconds.
The trap leaves behind a zone that slows everything inside by 35%, and detonates after 2 seconds, dealing 15/75/135/195/255 (+1.3 total AD) (+1.0 AP) magic damage (65% damage vs. minions and monsters).
Jhin prepares a new trap every 28/27/26/25/24 (reduced by CDR) seconds and can store 2 at once.
Beauty in Death - When Jhin kills an enemy champion a Lotus Trap will spawn and detonate where they were killed.
Curtain Call (R)
120/105/90 sec Cooldown
Jhin sets up and channels, enabling him to fire 4 shots at extreme range in a cone in front of him. The shots stop on the first champion hit, slowing it by 80% for .75 seconds and dealing 50/125/200 (+.25 total AD) physical damage, increased by 2% for each 1% health the target is missing. The 4th shot crits for 200% damage.
If cancelled early, Curtain Call's cooldown is refunded by 10% each unused shot.

Jhin's VO is up, clocking in at over 20 minutes! This includes oodles of special taunts - Bard, Draven, Garen, Illaoi, Jinx, Katarina, Lucian, Rek'sai , Shen, Sion, Sona, Tahm Kench, and Zed. He also has unique taunts for Ionian and Noxian champions.

Shen's champion update is now on the PBE, including new visuals, kit changes, and updated skins!
[NOTE: While it is very similar to the current, this is his updated splash and has bigger sword on back!]

Shen's maximum energy is now 400!
Ki Barrier (Passive)
After casting a spell, Shen gains a shield that absorbs 52 - 120 [+14% Bonus Health] damage for 2.5 seconds (cooldown 10 seconds). Spells that successfully affect an allied or enemy champion reduce this cooldown by 4-7.5 seconds.
Shen's power manifests as a spirit blade that he can control with abilities.

Twilight Assault (Q)
8/7.25/6.5/5.75/5 sec Cooldown
Shen recalls his spirit blade and draws it. Enemies it collides with are slowed by 35% when moving away from Shen for the next 2 seconds.
Shen's next 3 attacks deal 3/3.5/4/4.5/5% (+ ~1.5% per 100 AP ) of their target's max health as bonus magic damage. If the spirit blade collided with an enemy champion, those attacks deal 5/5.5/6/6.5/7% (+ ~2% per 100 AP) instead and have +50% Attack Speed.
Minions and monsters take an extra 30/50/70/90/110 bonus damage per attack.
Spirit's Refuge (W)
18/16.5/15/13.5/12 sec Cooldown
Shen's spirit blade creates a defensive zone for 1.75 seconds. Basic attacks that would hit Shen or an allied champion in the zone are blocked.
If there are no champions to protect in the zone when it starts, the spirit blade will not activate until one enters or 2 seconds pass.
Shadow Dash (E)
18/16/14/12/10 sec Cooldown
Passive: Dealing damage with Shadow Dash or Twilight Assault recovers 30-40 energy.
Active: Shen dashes in a direction, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 [+ 12% bonus HP] physical damage to enemy champions in his path and taunting then for 1.5 seconds.
Stand United (R)
180/150/120 sec Cooldown
Shen grants a shield to a target allied champion that absorbs up to 250/550/850 (+1.35 AP) damage for 5 seconds. After channeling for 3 seconds, Shen and his spirit blade teleport to the ally's location.

Hextech Crafting & Loot
[NOTE: With the new loot system testing on the PBE, there has been a reset to remove most unlocked content from PBE accounts. More information here.]

The new Hextech Crafting and Loot system is now on the PBE for testing! Check out the 2016 season announcement to get acquainted with the new system!

You can access the new crafting system by pressing the gem looking button next to shop and profile.
In short the new system allows you to earn and/or purchase chests and keys then open them for loot! Keys can be earned by winning matchmade games or purchased in the shop. Chests can be earned by getting S ranks in matchmade games (limit of 4 per month, 1 per champ per season) or purchased in the shop - more details available here.
Opening chests awards loot - unlocks, champion shards, skin shards, ward skins shards, summoner icons, rare gems, and more. Note that you CAN acquire multiple shards for the same champion or for content you already own. You can get shards for any tier of champion or skin, as well as shards for legacy skins!
Once you have a shard- champion or skin - you can combine it with the appropriate essence - champion or cosmetic - to create a permanent unlock for that content! In the screen shot below I need 580 champion essence to make my Trundle champion shard into a permanent unlock of Trundle. unfortunately, I don't yet have enough essence yet!
To get more essence, you can DISENCHANT any of your shards into essence based on their normal value. Below I can disenchant Kennen, who is normally 880 RP, for 290 champion essence.
With my new champion essence in hand, I can now create a permanent Trundle unlock!
If you'd simple like to try out content, each individual champion or skin shard can be redeemed for a temporary 7 day rental of content by selecting "Activate rental" on the right click drop down. This only requires a shard and does not consume any essence.
You also have the option of REROLLING three permanent skin unlocks or three shards to obtain a random permanent unlock for that type of content. You will always reroll into an unowned champion or skin!
In the shot below I'm rerolling 3 skin shards and end up creating a new permanent skin unlock for Workshop Nunu!
The permanent skin unlock goes into your inventory where you can redeem it to permanently unlock the skin, RE-ROLL it again, or simply disenchant it for more essence. Permanent unlocks have a gold border rather than the teal border for shards.
Unlike skin unlocks, Champion permanent unlocks go right to your account rather than hanging around in your inventory.
You can also open up a RARE GEM that, in addition to also including a random shard, will give you a free chest and key! *NOTE: Socrates mentioned these may be for something else.
As you can only earn four chests a month, you can track how many you have left to earn on your profile page:
As you can only earn 1 chest per champion per season, you can track who you have earned a chest with so far on your champion page:
While things may change, here are a few notes on current values:
- Disenchants yield essence equal to ~33% of the normal RP price for the content
- Example: 975 RP skin will disenchant into 322 cosmetic essence.
- It currently takes the content's RP cost minus 300 to upgrade a shard into a permanent piece of loot.
- Example: Gnar costs 975 RP. To upgrade Gnar's shard into a permanent unlock, it will take 675 champion essence.
Lore UpdatesToday's update includes several minor lore updates to remove bits about retconned content - such as IoW and League - from older champion bios. To save space, pastebin of changes available here.

Two new summoner esports icons added.
- A concept art for Jhin - aptly named JhinLoadScreenConcept - also made it's way on to the PBE in this update.
- Keystone masteries now display on the loading screen.
- The "Snowdown shop" background has changed to a Lunar Revel theme. Perhaps it is returning?

Balance Changes* Remember *: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, and sometimes radical changes. The changes you see below may be lacking context or other accompanying changes that didn't make it in - don't freak out! These are not official notes.
- Damage per level increased to 3.3 from 3
- Base damage decreased to 57.5 from 61.27
- Sadism (R) cooldown increased to 100/85/70 from 75.
- Thick Skin (E) active duration lowered to 4 seconds from 6 seconds
- Abyssal Voyage (R) bonus magic damage bonus health ratio lowered to 2/4/6% from 4/6/8%
- AD increased to 7 from 5
- Bonus gold from passive increased to 350g from 300.
- "while in combat" added to tooltip.
Frost Queen's Claim
- Now only slows enemies if they are fleeing
Talisman of Ascension
- Active cooldown lowered to 40 sec from 60 sec.
- Damage boost increased to 2% from 1.5%
- Only deals extra damage to enemy champions instead of all
Thunderlord's Decree (Cunning, tier 6)
- Cooldown now 25-15 seconds based on level from 20 seconds.
