[Updated] 5/13 PBE Update: Ekko, Order of the Lotus Irelia, Knockout Lee Sin, and Nightmare Tryndamere

[ 9 PM PDT Update: Second patch hit, fixing up the Karma changes, updating the texture for Sandstorm Ekko, and reverting the mess of TT changes. Also added Blade of the Ruined King range change.]

To kick off the start of the 5.10 PBE cycle, we have a huge update! Our next champion Ekko is now on the PBE for testing, as well as new Order of the Lotus Irelia, Knockout Lee Sin, and Nightmare Tryndamere skins, tentative balance changes for Karma and Abyssal Scepter, and more!

New Champion: Ekko

Ekko, our upcoming and recently revealed champion, is now on the PBE for testing!

Z-Drive Resonance (Passive)
Every third attack, or damaging spell on the same target, deals 15 + 12 per level (.7 AP) bonus magic damage and slows it by 40/50/60/70/80% [at levels 1/6/11/16/18] for 2/2.5/3 seconds [at level 1/6/11] (cannot be triggered on the same target more than once every 3 seconds).
If the target is a champion, Ekko gains the speed for himself. 

Timewinder (Q):

11/10/9/8/7 sec Cooldown 
Ekko throws a device that deals 60/75/90/105/120  (+0.2 AP) magic damage to enemies it passes through. It expands into a slowing field on the first champion hit, slowing everything inside by 32/39/46/53/60%. It then returns to him after a delay, dealing 60/85/110/135/160 (+0.6 AP) magic damage to all targets hit upon return.

Parallel Convergence (W):
30/40/50/60/70Mana
22/20/18/16/14 sec Cooldown 
Passive:Ekko's basic attacks deal bonus magic damage to enemies under 30% health equal to 4% (+1% per 35 AP) of their missing health (max 400 damage vs. minions and monsters). 
Active:After a 3 second delay, Ekko creates a short-lived chronosphere at the target location that slows enemies who enter by 40%. If Ekko enters the sphere, he will detonate it, gaining a shield that absorbs up to 150/195/240/285/330(+.8) damage for 2 seconds. Enemies caught inside are stunned for 2.25 seconds.

Phase Dive (E):

 Ekko dashes a short distance in the targeted direction. His next attack will deal 50/80/110/140/170 (+0.2 AP) bonus magic damage and teleport him to his target."

Chronobreak (R):
No Cost 
90/80/70 sec Cooldown 
Makes Ekko invulnerable and untargetable, and teleports him back to wherever he was 4 seconds ago. Ekko heals himself for 100/150/200 + 20/25/30% (+1% per 30 AP) of the damage taken over the last 4 seconds, and deals 200/350/500 (+1.3 AP) magic damage to all nearby enemies on arrival.

[Note: The time-clone of where he was 4 seconds ago is always visible if the R is not on cooldown. Once he uses R to port to it, the clone disappears until it is ready to use again. Enemies can see the time-clone if they have vision of him]

As you have likely heard in the voiceover video above, Ekko also has oodles of special interactions for various champions - including special taunts for Caitlyn, Dr. Mundo, Garen, Jayce, Janna, Jinx, Twitch, Urgot, Vel'Koz, Vi, Viktor, and Zilean - when purchasing certain items, when being revived by Zilean's ultimate, and when dodging Caitlyn's R using his own R.

[Removed] New loading screens

[NOTE: These new loading screens are a part of the map changes that went out earlier then intended and will not be released in 5.10. The second PBE deploy of the day REMOVED them from the build but I'll leave them down here for the sake of visibility.

To join the new Summoner's Rift and Howling Abyss loading screens from previous patches, Twisted Treeline and Crystal Scar have new loading screen backgrounds.

The Advanced tutorial also has a new loading screen, using the Vi & Ahri vs Blue Sentinel art.

Miscellaneous 

  • A golden spatula has been added in the upper left part of the jungle.
  • Poro has been added to Summoner's Rift. File name is "SRU_Poro". He seems to spawn in each base if that team has a champion from Freljord on their team.
  • If you load into a game with five Pool Party skins (or Rumble in the Jungle or  Surfer Singed), a yellow rubber duck will spawn on Summoner's Rift near the bottom Middle part of river.
  • They've added a glow to the runes around Baron's pit.

Balance Changes

* Remember *: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, and sometimes radical changes. The changes you see below may be lacking context or other accompanying changes that didn't make it in - don't freak out! These are not official notes.

Champions
Karma
  • [As of the second PBE update ~9 PM PDT, these changes are now all functional and ready for testing on the PBE! Changelist from ricklessabandon can be found here.]
  • Gathering Fire (Passive)
  • CD Refund on spell hit increased to 2/2.5/3/3.5 at  levels 1/6/11/16 from 2 at all levels
  • CD Refund on Basic Attack still at 50% of spell hit value
  • Focused Resolve (W)
  • Can now target monsters in addition to champions
  • Renewal (Mantra + W)
  • Reworked - both healing and bonus damage removed.
  • Now debuffs target for duration of tether + root.
  • All damage dealt to target is increased by 10% (excludes true damage)
  • All damage dealt to target heals Karma for 20% of the damage dealt
  • If the damage source is a champion on Karma's team (excluding Karma) they are also healed for 20% of damage dealt
 
  • Inspire (E)
  •  Cooldown reduced to 10/9/8/7/6 from 10 seconds at all ranks
  • Mana Cost lowered to 60/65/70/75/80 from 60/70/80/90/100
  • Shield amount lowered to 80/110/140/170/200 from 80/120/160/200/240
  • Defiance (Mantra + E)
  • No longer deals damage
  • Now increases target's shield by 30/90/150/210 (+.3 AP)
  • Aoe Shield amount is now 50% of primary target's shield amount from 30/70/110/150
Ryze
  • Overload (Q) damage increased to 65/95/125/155/185 from 65/90/115/140/165
  • Desperate Power (R) duration increased to 6 seconds at all ranks from 4/5/6

Abyssal Scepter

  • Abyssal Scepter has been reworked in today's update.]
  • Total Cost: 2500 gold
  • Recipe: Amp Tome + Ruby Crystal + Negatron Cloak +  815g
  • New stats & effects:
+30 Ability Power
+250 Health
+60 Magic Resist  
UNIQUE Passive:Every 4 seconds emanates a pulse dealing 80 (+5 per champion level) magic damage to nearby enemy champions and reduces their Magic Resist by 15% for 10 seconds (stacks up to 3 times, up to 45%)

Blade of the Ruined King
  • Active Range increased to 550 from 450.


Mandrake Ward

Twisted Treeline

[NOTE: Several Twisted Treeline changes were pushed in today's initial update, including adjustments to health and damage of most of the 3v3 map's jungle creeps, adjustments to Vilemaw's HP, turret changes, death timer changes, xp curve changes, specific mode item changes, and more. Riot JxE has noted that they went out early and are not planned for 5.10. They  are now all REVERTED and the map is back to live status.]
