10/28 PBE Update: Splash Art & Tentative Balance Changes

The PBE has been updated! As we continue the 10.23 PBE cycle, today's patch includes splash art for skins on the PBE and tentative balance changes!

NOTE*: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, & potentially experimental changes. Be aware that what you see below may be relative to other changes from earlier this cycle! These are not official notes and may be incomplete.

  • Death Lotus (R) 
    • on hit effects efficiency lowered from 33% to 30%


  • Mana per level increased from 45 to 65
Doran's Blade
  • Omnivamp lowered from 3% to 2.5%
  • Now notes "omnivamp is only 33% effective when dealing aoe damage or damage through pets."

Sunfire Aegis
  • Renamed from "Sunborn Aegis"

Dead Man's Plate
  • Health increased from 450 to 475
  • Movespeed lowered from 7% to 5%

Force of Nature
  • MR increased from 55 to 60
  • Movespeed lowered from 7% to 5%

Ornn Masterwork Items
  • Masterwork item names changed to "Masterwork [ITEM]", unsure if this is intentional or not.


Ravenous Hunter
  • [Tooltip reworded]
"Omnivamp: 1% + 2% per Bounty Hunter stack.  
Bounty Hunter stacks are earned the first time you get a takedown on each enemy champion. 
Omnivamp is only 33% effective when dealing area of effect damage or damage through pets."

TFT Traits
  • Reduced damage increased from 40% to 50%
  • Bonus true damage increased from 40% to 50%

  • 6 unit 
    • shield lowered from 400 to 350
    • duration lowered from 15s to 14s

TFT Champions

Tier 3
Xin Zhao
[Xin Zhao has a new ability in testing on the PBE!]
  • Armor and MR increased from 25/30/75 to 30/40/100

Tier 4
  • Ability damage increased from 475/675/3000 to 500/750/3000

4) Here's CodeofBear with a /r/LeaguePBE thread on preseason ranked changes hitting the PBE -
"Preseason Ranked changes testing on PBEHey all, we've activated some of our Preseason ranked changes on PBE for testing in Ranked Solo/Duo queue which means we'll also be enabling ranked on PBE. Specifically, rolling out the following:
  • Inter-division promos have been removed. On promo, leftover LP will now roll over into your next division. Inter-division demotion shielding at 0 LP has been removed as well. 
  • We've also made some matchmaking algorithm adjustments. This won't be super noticeable on PBE due to the small population size and fewer ranked games played per account; we're mainly looking for bugs. 
  • For those players at Master and above rank, duo queue will be disabled as part of our Apex duo removal feature.
