1/14 PBE Update: More Tentative Balance Changes

The PBE has been updated! As we continue the 10.2 PBE cycle, today's patch includes more tentative balance changes!

Balance Changes

NOTE*: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, & experimental changes. Be aware that what you see below may be relative to other changes earlier this cycle! These are not official notes.

  • Whirling Death (R) Bonus AD changed from 110% to 110/130/150%

  • Terrashape (W) attack speed changed from 20% to 5/10/15/20/25%

  • Strength of Stone (Passive) 
    • max health as shield lowered from 12% to 10%
    • "shield now triggers upon ENTERING stealth or a brush enemies have no vision of (instead of on exit)" 
  • Crushing Blow (Q) bonus damage duration increased from 3 to 4
  • Warrior Trickster (W)
    • "Clone auto attack range increased by 100."
    • "Duration increased by .25s (letting it squeeze in one more AA)"

TFT Changes

  • 3 champ critical strike increased from 50% to 75% 
  • 6 champ critical strike increased from 200% to 225%
    • Vs Live: From 150% to 225%

  • 6 champ damage increased from 140% to 150%
  • 9 champ damage increased from 210 5 to 250%

  • 6 champion spell power lowered from 30 to 20
    • [Spell power added in 1/13 PBE update!]

  • 3 champ health and duration lowered from 25% to 20%
    • Vs Live: from 30% to 20%
  • 6 champ health and duration lowered from 100% to 80%
    • Vs Live: from 120% to 80%

  • [New] 6 champ bonus: All woodland champions make a copy of themselves

  • Damage changed from 250/450/900 to 225/450/900
    • Vs Live: from 200/400/800 to 225/450/900

  • Attack speed lowered from 60/70/80 to 40/60/80

  • Damage reduction lowered from 40/90/140 to 40/80/120

  • Ricochet bounces lowered from 10 to 5

  • Damage lowered from 400/700/1000 to 325/650/975
    • Vs Live: from 300/600/900 to 325/650/975

Context & Notes

1) Riot Lutzburg provided a changelist for Wukong on the PBE, and noted they are looking into Clone bugfxes:

[2] "We're looking into the Wukong Clone XP bug. It's a tricky one, so no ETA on a fix just yet. In the meantime, try to avoid letting your clone take the last-hit on jungle camps on PBE."
Riot Lutzburg also tweeted we should see different values on PBE Wukong's Q damage ap next pbe patch:
"Experimenting with different values for Wukong's Q damage amp (5-25% from 10-20%).  Goal being to reduce his lane power slightly while amping his late game damage (especially for bruisers) since % damage scales stronger over game time/gold.  Available next PBE deploy."
As well as changes for his W:
"One more Wukong change: W CD adjusted to 22/20/18/16/14 from 24/21/18/15/12 
Trying to let him use his most iconic ability in lane phase a bit more often, while still giving opponents a clear window of vulnerability to exploit. Late game with CDR he becomes a very dashy boy"
2) Riot August noted a Jinx change for 10.2:
"In 10.2 Jinx will be able to proc her passive off of Epic monsters she helps her team kill."
3) Riot Scruffy provided changelists for patch 10.2:
"10.2 Patch Preview with a few additions. We have some work in flight for akali in 10.3 as well, but she's not in this list."
