5/31 PBE Update: New Ward Skins, Loot Assets, & More

The PBE has been updated! As we continue the 9.12 PBE cycle, today's patch includes new ward skins, loot assets, and tentative balance changes!

Ward Skins

Forty-seven ward skins were added, and look to be for the Team/Fan pass, with a few blank placeholder wards and the rest with team logos:

Miscellaneous 

  • New loot assets added:
    • 4800 BE Champion Capsule: "Need a boost to break the League lull? This capsule contains a free unowned champion worth 4800 BE and a skin for that champion."
    • 3150 BE Champion Capsule: "Need a boost to break the League lull? This capsule contains a free unowned champion worth 3150 BE." 
    • Watermelon Orb: "For Turkey only! From this juicy and delicious orb, you can get one guaranteed skin shard with a 15% chance for bonus Orange essence equivalent to the upgrade cost, and 1.5x gemstone and mythic skin drops."
  • Files for LPL summoner icons added, images later this cycle! Name examples:
    • "2019 Bilibili Gaming Level 1 Icon"
    • "2019 Bilibili Gaming Level 2 Icon"
    • etc.

Balance Changes

NOTE*: The PBE is a testing grounds for new, tentative, & experimental changes. Be aware that what you see below may be relative to other changes earlier this cycle! These are not official notes.

Champions
Karthus
[This change was hotfixed to live on 5/30!]
  • Requiem (R) AP increased from 65% to 75%

Master Yi
[This change was hotfixed to live on 5/30!]
  • Alpha Strike (Q) damage on same target increased from 15% AD per additional strike to 25% AD per additional strike

Mordekaiser
[Mordekaiser's champion update is testing on the PBE!]
  • Darkness Rise (Passive)
    • [Tooltip updated] "Darkness Rise can activate on Epic monsters. Aura/speed has a 5s duration and is refreshed with each champion attack or spell hit."
  • Indestructible (W) 
    • Potential shield values separated:
      • 30% of damage he deals
      • 15% of damage he takes
    • [Tooltip updated] "Shield value decays over time. Damage stored by non-champion sources reduced by 75%. Minimum Shield: 5% maximum health // Maximum Shield: 30% maximum health.

Sylas
[Sylas has other changes in testing on the PBE!]
  • Petricite Burst (P)
    • Damage reduction to targets other than the primary lowered from 50% to 30%
    • Now has 2 charges
    • Damage changed from [(120% AD)+(9+3 per level)+(20% AP)] to [(100% AD)+(9+3 per level)+(20% AP)] 
      • Vs Live: [(100% AD)+(5+2.5 per level)+(20% AP)] to 
  • Chain Lash (Q)
    • Q2 Damage lowered from 45/70/95/120/145 to 40/60/80/100/120
    • Q2 AP lowered from 60% to 40%
    • Q2 explosion radius increased from 160 to 180
      • Vs. Live: From 200 to 180
  • Kingslayer (W) Heal increased from 60/80/100/120/140 to 70/95/120/145/170
  • Abscond / Abduct (E)
    • now gains shield on champion and monster hits

Ryze

  • Arcane Mastery (Passive)
    • Casting a basic Spell reduces basic spell cooldowns by 1 second
    • Spell damage and shielding increased by 1% of Ryze's maximum Mana
    • [Removed] All other Mana ratios
  • Overload (Q)
    • [Removed] Passive effect
    • Spell ranks lowered from 6 to 5
    • Damage changed from [60/85/110/135/160/185 (+45% AP)] to [80/110/140/170/200 (+40% AP)]
    • Overload damage bonus changed from [40/50/60/70/80% (Spell Flux Rank)] to [10/20/30/40/50% (Overload Rank)]
    • Cooldown increased from 6 to 10
    • Cost increased from 40 to 60
  • Rune Prison (W)
    • Damage changed from [80/100/120/140/160 (+60% AP)] to [80/85/90/95/100 (+40% AP)]
    • [New] On champion cast, shields Ryze for 60/80/100/120/140 (+40% AP). On minion cast, gives 160 Mana (net +80 after the spell's baseline cost).
    • Mana cost changed from [50/60/70/80/90] to 80
    • CC effect changed from [Root] to [50% Slow]
    • CC duration increased from 0.75 to 1.5
    • Spell Flux bonus changed from [Increased CC duration] to [Convert Slow to Root]
    • Cooldown changed from [13/12/11/10/9] to 16
  • Spell Flux (E)
    • Cooldown changed from [3.25/3/2.75/2.5/2.25] to 4
    • Damage changed from [70/90/110/130/150 (+35% AP)] to [80/100/120/140/160 (+40% AP)]
    • Bounce range:
      • Between two large units increased from 350 to 400
      • Otherwise lowered from 350 to 250
    • Cost changed from [60/70/80/90/100] to 80
    • [New] Always bounces
    • [Removed] Damage on Bounce
    • [Removed] Bouncing Flux on kill
  • Realm Warp (R)
    • Spell ranks increased from 2 to 3
    • [New] Arcane Mastery mana benefit increased to 2.5/3.0/3.5%
    • [New] Immediately casts at max range when attempting to cast beyond that
    • [New] Requires an allied unit to cast near
    • Minimum cast range increased from 730 to 1000
    • Maximum cast range changed from [1750/3000] to 3000
    • Cooldown changed from 180 to [210/180/150]

1) Riot Repertoir provided a changelist for Ryze this cycle:
[1] Here's the one showing up today. There will likely be a pretty different one on Monday that is less... drastic
[2] As mentioned, there is some Ryze stuff that's showing up on PBE today. There's a different list coming Monday as well. Trying two different things out before deciding on the right blend of the two for 9.12. Feedback welcome.
