Dark Horses: Jungle Irelia

Here's Riot NAKYLE with the second installment of Dark Horses, this time focusing on Jungle Irelia!
"Welcome to Dark Horses, where we dive deep beneath the sheets, looking for your sleeper picks and why we think they might be ready to wake up. Next up? Jungle Irelia.

Willpower

Well, the jungle got slapped with some strategic diversity, didn’t it? Next time you sign-up to Smite, consider Irelia. With smart itemization and jungle-focused Rune/Mastery pages, you can count on Irelia’s reliable gap closer and stun for successful jaunts into the lanes.
Trailblazer

Jungle Irelia players are trailblazers. They also buy Trailblazer’s, because she needs the clear speed. That AoE Smite is essential to getting Irelia through the jungle and into lane, where she’ll cause the most trouble.
1v1 me, bro

Built-in lifesteal, tenacity and true damage make Irelia a ferocious duelist. If you can track an enemy counter-jungler, Irelia punishes trespassers, Hiten Style.
Mind the gap
Irelia speeds into lane, closing the gap with Bladesurge and landing substantial CC with Equilibrium Strike. Remember, Equilibrium Strike offers up a stun rather than a slow if Irelia’s health percent is lower than her target’s. And yes, we know that’s not what equilibrium means.
Mixed damage
Magic damage, physical damage, true damage--Irelia’s got it all. Building against Irelia is nightmarish enough before the Devourer enchantment’s added to the mix. Follow up with Blade of the Ruined King or Trinity Force and laugh (to yourself) at /all chat.
Out of the frying pan, into my backpack
If Irelia, ahem, secures a few early kills, all of the above points snowball into a blade maiden completely capable of putting the game on her back.

Counterplay: Dulling the Blades

Far from all-powerful, jungle Irelia can be stymied with attentive counter-jungling and watchful eyes on her itemization. If you’re drafting against an obvious jungle Irelia, consider Lee Sin and Kha’Zix, who can slip into Irelia’s jungle and escape Irelia’s sustained damage if things go south.
Take her Blue
Irelia’s mana-hungry. Your team would do well to invade and take her first blue. With an already slow clear time, it’s in your best interest to make her first forays through the jungle as painful as possible.

Watch her build
With Devourer (or another enchantment) eating a significant amount of gold, Irelia’s core build will be significantly slowed down. Strike in her tweener stage, usually around the time team’s start skirmishing for dragon control. Her first complete item will be either damage-focused or defensive. If you see a Blade of the Ruined King or a Trinity Force, blow her up. If you see a Frozen Heart, take care to point most of your damage elsewhere.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether looking to try jungle Irelia or just happy to add another solo lane champion to your arsenal, you can snag the Will of the Blades and her Frostblade skin for 50% off. Respectively, they’ll be 440 RP and 487 RP through 23:59 PST December 11.
All Chat: The New League community showcase
Speaking of new features, we also the first edition of "ALL CHAT", a new series dedicated to all sorts of community oriented content
Here's DPADR with with a look at he  first episode and more information on the new series!
"We’re launching a brand new show! If you liked Summoner Showcase, you’ll want to check out All Chat.
What’s All Chat?
All Chat is a show for players who enjoy all things League. It’s a web series on a mission: to guide you on an adventure through every corner of League fandom. With every episode, we scour the globe to help you discover hidden awesome—everything from fanart to cosplay to player stories. Your stuff, your show.
When does All Chat premiere?
The show rolled out today on our new NA League Community YouTube channel.
Does All Chat have anything to do with Summoner Showcase?
All Chat isn’t Summoner Showcase, but it embraces what made that show special: a genuine connection with League players and an infectious enthusiasm for everything related to League.
As a way of continuing that legacy, we named All Chat’s core segment “Summoner Showcase” and dedicated it to celebrating all the cool stuff players create.
Who are the hosts?
All Chat draws some of its cast from the League community. Melonie Mac is a well-known YouTuber and streamer. Josh Kim is a video director for Team Curse (and lives in the Curse house!). Most of you know James Patterson as LCS host Riot Dash , but on All Chat he gets to unbutton his vest and unwind.
How can I join the party?
If you or anyone you know is doing something awesome for the League community, we’d love to know about it. Show us your stuff by dropping us a comment on our All Chat Facebook page or submitting your idea here!"
[Continued] Blood Moon Elise discussion
 In the 12/4 PBE update, the upcoming Blood Moon Elise's skin received one last color change - making her now a mix between the original pink and the red version that was added in mid cycle.
In a forum thread discussing this color change, Riot KateyKhaos noted:
"The opinions of if she should be pink or red were actually split pretty 50/50. So, we decided on a pinkish reddish color - something that was more of a happy medium between the two, and something that fit into the thematic of the Blood Moon line."
She continued, explaining why the original pink version was pushed to the PBE rather than a red one:
"Not intentional in the least. We stayed away from the reds at first, since she's got some of that in her base skin. Enough players spoke out, saying they were unhappy with the pink, especially when it came to her fitting cohesively with the Blood Moon skin line. That's when we started taking feedback into discussions, and working to find a color that made sense for the skin line, as well as compromising with what players were saying about the skin."
She continued:
"One of the biggest discussion points with her being really red (from both a player perspective and our own) was that her particles clashed with them. As I've pointed out before, the decision was based on both the community being split pretty evenly on if they wanted red or pink for the color scheme, as well as making a skin that was still fitting cohesively with the Blood Moon skin line.
As far as learning people feeling disappointed, I've seen a surprising amount of feedback that's neutral to positive. At the end of the day, you can't make everyone happy, and that honestly sucks."
[Contiuned] Riot games Merch Store Beta Now Live
Following yesterday's launch of Riot's new merchandise store, a few Rioters continued to hang around the forums and answer questions on the new shop and products!
As for the lack of a currency converter in the shop, Riot Wishling commented:
"We also had to take out the currency converter for initial launch but are working on bringing it back! Please be patient with us :)"
Riot Wishling also noted:
"Making the site look better on mobile is definitely on our list of things to improve."
When asked about the high pricepoint for the three new hoodedies debuting in the beta merch shop, Bradmore replied:
"The hoodies on the site for beta a launch are all custom cut and sew. The League crest hoodie for example features custom hardware, tonal embroidery on the sleeve and high quality fabric and construction.
That said, we also understand the need to have multiple price points in the store across our categories and will be building out the assortment over time to reflect that goal. We’ll been adding items that are less expensive, as well as items that more expensive as we build out the store. Moar to come."
 When asked if these products are available in Portugal, Bradmore noted:
"We are shipping to Portugal currently--we just don't have a dedicated Portugal site yet. We are working to increase the number of languages and countries we support."
Pantheon Nerfs on PBE
Riot Velocity also popped on reddit to comment on the current nerfs to Pantheon's attack speed on the PBE, explaining:
"While Pantheon being able to solo dragon at lower levels is certainly a problem that's on our radar at the moment, that doesn't change the fact that he's an incredibly safe jungler in general.
With damage on jungle camps being shifted into a more bursty pattern, his W passive is getting a lot more value on certain camps than we would like. This change is made to address that problem in tandem with weakening his dragon soloing abilities."
