IEM World Championship Day 3 Recap

We have finally arrived at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship and I can't wait for games to begin! There are a fantastic four days of games to be watched and I'm here to tell you all about it.

Hosted in Hanover, Germany, this tournament has two stages. The group stage has round robin, best of one matches. The 1st place team out of the group stage advances to the semi-finals, while the 2nd and 3rd place teams advance to the quarterfinals. Once we move to the bracket stage it switches to a single elimination, best of three tournament. The finals are best of five. This tournament is hosted by sjokz and ReDeYe and casted by Joe Miller, Deman, and ButButButILY. They will have an experts desk that includes Jarett Cale, Panky, and qu1ksh0t.

This tournament has a prize pool split as follows:
  • 1st: $50,000
  • 2nd: $25,000
  • 3rd/4th: $13,500
  • 5th/6th: $6,900
  • 7th/8th: $5,900
  • 9th/10th: $5,700
  • 11th/12th: $5,500
