  3. She's good at that.

  4. The best!Why?Because i can...

  5. BEEP BOOP HERE'S MY BLITZCRANK IMPRESSION SO WE CAN GET EXTREMELY OFF TOPIC PRETENDING TO BE CHAMPIONS. (inb4 I'm not pretending)

Now on topic, I was kinda hoping Epik would make it but meh, these are basically the rest of the people I thought would make it.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Moobeat on the group A you linked the same game 2 times

    ReplyDelete
  7. Where's the freaking link to the official website of this?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I was also hoping Epik would make it. Sad. Though i hope Curse get through.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Thank god with that PSA. Can't wait to see Fear play

    ReplyDelete
  10. Haha, the autists can no longer roleplay in the comments section.

    Feels good man.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I know that feel man.

    ReplyDelete
  12. That public service announcement restored my faith in this site.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I was seriously afraid the site would turn into some sort of bizarro cosplay convention.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Shame about the PSA honestly, it was a good laugh while it lasted.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ever since the site got overhauled I stopped reading the comment section because of how out of hand it gotten...

    ReplyDelete
  16. I personally think it was really funny watching people go so in-depth into their characters. I think they should have two comments sections: one for the roleplayers and one serious one. I want to see roleplaying again.

On topic: I hope one of the new teams wins.

    ReplyDelete
  17. That would be nice. I understand Moobeat doesn't want the comments section to be an RP forum, but I thought it brought some flavour with it. In any case, IP banning the lot of us was a little bit harsh :(

On topic: I agree, it's great to see some new names in the competitive LoL scene.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That is why I suggested two comments sections as stated in my previous post. It was always fun watching how people viewed their champion and other champions. Hopefully Moobeat takes my idea into consideration, especially since the roleplayers can't post their responses in the comments section to protest this due to the champion name ban.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Its not nice to laugh at the mentally disabled.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The PSA also applies for comments not related to the article, if you haven't read the whole thing properly. This isn't the place to discuss this action we've taken so don't post comments about it here.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It had to be done (IP bans). It's spam, no matter how you look at it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't find point in working my rear off trying to make that happen, as it's unneeded, mostly hated by the majority of our visitors and I've personally had enough of it. As I haven't yet spoken with Moo about this, I can't say he's on the exact same opinion as me, but I'm sure he's not too fond of them either.

I don't want them to protest the bans I've personally handed out, they've had their fair share of amusement on other people's backs. They have been warned before, it's their own problem they didn't listen.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I like how the top 4 seeds coming in are playing against eaother in the quarterfinals. This means at least one of these top four seeds will not be offered a contract.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I see your point. While im not a computer genius, I think that merely posting one more uncontrolled comments section right under the real comments section doesn't take that much work. If I am wrong then never mind. Like I said, it gave me a new view on the champions. If the new comments section idea will be too hard to implement then i guess I will try to move on.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It wasn't for everyone, but many of the more creative posts had overwhelmingly more upvotes than not - most people loved it. I respect your stance on this though as I can see both sides, but as a regular visitor to this site I'd love to see more discussion about it :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I didnt expect that Cloud 9 lose 1-2... They disbanned the team, i hope to see some of em on othere teams tho

    ReplyDelete
  27. After cosplay chat got sacked this chat died. Oh i have to say something relevant to the post now. Ermmm ...let's see. I watched the matches last night. Some of them were good. That's it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Glad all those champion comments are gone... :P
So glad Curse got through ^^ Didn't get to see them due to the time difference between EUW and NA.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Did you not see the PSA?
You kids oughta keep your braindead roleplaying elsewhere, I like comments being not autismal.
They're gonna be gone as soon as a mod comes on anyway, but still.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Can't wait for today's games! >:D I don't know what team to cheer for...gah!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why was the PSA taken down?

These roleplayers really need to go pollute something other than the comments section of this site.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Moobeat didn't quite agree I should take such actions.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Maybe not the banning, but I definitely think Roleplaying or otherwise being severely-offtopic should be removed. I like reading comments relating to posts, the RPing is just embarrassing to see.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wait...where the hell is my post?

    ReplyDelete
  35. i hope curse get through

    ReplyDelete
  36. The PSA was made after that comment was made. The comment had been deleted and all of us banned. Now everything's undeleted and everyone's unbanned. Not sure what happened, but there you go. The PSA came afterwards and is now gone.

    ReplyDelete
  37. They were quite drastic. There wasn't even warning. I was about done with this site in general.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think that roleplaying was a good thing. It gave me and others a new view on champions. Also, just by looking at this article, there are only about 3 real opinions on it. the only time it was kinda polluted was when people were just posting quotes but when people started posting champion opinions and using the lore a lot it made things interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  39. So Moobeat has no problem with the site going into a downward spiral of off topic nonsense? If people want to role play, maybe they should go to an actual role play site where you can pretend to be anything you want and nobody will care.

But then again, this is his site. I just won't be included in this nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Quite a large number of the comments from people purporting to be champions are very much on topic. They just also happen to be in character.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It has a little delay when you dont reply to anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  42. If people come here and want to interact, they should be able too. I don't, however, agree with all the "spammy" comments that have been popping up. There is a lot of situations where each RP characters posts something, they all reply to each other, and there are dozens of reply threads clogging up the comments section with little or no mention of what the content. This hampers the discussion process and ( speaking personally ) makes it hard to find people pointing out errors in the post or content I might have missed.

My problem with how Frosty handled the situation was that he gave no warning, put up a message informing people they would be banned if they posted "the wrong way", and then moderated the shit out of everything. I see this as a friendly community and I didn't like the notion of a big "you are going to get in trouble" message slapping you in the face whenever you came to the site.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I agree. This is why everyone was unbanned and that message was taken down. It has never been a problem in the past but now things are getting clogged up with more "RP conversation" than actual content. We've talked about it internally without coming to a consensus but Frosty decided on a plan of action I didn't agree with last night. Everyone was unbanned and the announcement was taken down. I'll probably put up a post soon to ask RP people to tone it down or keep things on topic in comments. I don't see a problem with people having fun as long as it's not standing in the way of what the comments are intended for.

    ReplyDelete
  44. >severely off topic
This is what I would agree with.

    ReplyDelete
  45. It was taken down because I didn't agree with how aggressively things were being handled. Bans are not something to be dished lightly and without warning.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Makes sense to me! Also, that seems entirely reasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Just to illustrate a point on why NotSarcasm may be so against champion comments, A good example of "way too much off topic" would be in the ( http://www.surrenderat20.net/2013/01/111-pbe-update.html#more ) post. There is like 100 comments that are mostly off topic and just champions talking to each other about random stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dat delay. It's been over 10+ hours ago...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ehm this comment was before PSA..

    ReplyDelete
  50. I didnt know it was bad,i made this today and i didnt know much about RP and suddenly i saw my acount banned,i didnt wanted anything bad, sorry, can i keep this acount or make a new one?pls reply,i dont wanna get banned.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Very Nice,You are such a kind sir Moobeat!

    ReplyDelete
  52. So the roleplaying autism continues.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yeah. I try my best to stay in character yet i always post to stuff relevant to the article. i try to act like i'm an ingenious inventor, as that is who heimerdinger is, yet i always stay on topic.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Yep.
Would be nice to see a new team win.

    ReplyDelete
  55. IKR, some time it happens sometimes, but the normal delay is 30 mins, I think its because some mod have to "accept"it first.

    ReplyDelete
  56. While I can agree such a reaction may have been a little harsh, I don't really feel like it should be encouraged by any means because of the reaction that usually ensues.

If people want to react to something like a champion nerf/buff with either "HAHA I'm OP NOW" or "GG never getting picked again", I have no problem with it because its satirical. But then when another "champion" responds it just snowballs out of control.

    ReplyDelete
  57. What's bad about that? Just having some fun while commenting, and we aren't offending anyone.
Give us a rest; League community is horrible and as you can see we are all being friendly here.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Exactly. Commenting on-topic while staying in character can't be a bad thing.

    ReplyDelete
  59. You're absolutely correct, that went a little overboard. It should most definitely be toned down and kept more on topic.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Just ban the children posting as champions and posting their quotes. It's taking up the first 20 lines of every comment section now.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Just reading through it all now and I have to say I love it, it's freaking hilarious. Admittedly some of the RP does seem to come right out of left field. Like the Vi Rper saying 'Who is Karma?' (Seriously that meme has been done to death.) but the responses to Karma's breast size made me giggle. So I got a dose of information as well as a bit of light humor. So keep up the good work Moobeat and RPers. (Just try not to take things to far ;p)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I agree with 2nd paragraph. Frosty just charged in deleted all rp comments put up a warning and acted like rpers did him something bad. I'm sorry Frosty but i can't see anything rational here.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Just change your name on Disqus. Worked for me.

    ReplyDelete
  64. In just under 2 hours you had over 50 comments in no shape or form connected to the article they were posted on. They were just plain and simple 1 liners which in no way contributed to a proper discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Maybe a small discussion chat room would make every1 happy?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I agree with you Pix. Even official forums of LoL has a lot of trolls and ragers. I liked the warm feeling of this chat so i joined too.

    ReplyDelete
  67. i think TSM are already qualified since s2

    ReplyDelete
  68. thats what im trying to say,i had no idea,i hadn't been informed that this wasn't "legal" and i thought it was alright because i saw lots of people RP.

    ReplyDelete
  69. and i know that there are more people with my situation like "Cassiopeia" ,you could at least inform us on that before you take such a cruel action.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yeah i even tried to make a new account, with non-champion name, but then i saw that my IP was banned :P

    ReplyDelete
  71. I only started using Cassiopeia as a name maybe an hour before the bans started getting handed out. Never did the silly RP stuff prior to that. I picked the wrooong time to start.

    ReplyDelete
  72. that was exactly what i did too!i thought there was nothing wrong with it!

    ReplyDelete
  73. But why this sudden burst? I'm pretty sure there were no warnings before about this. I mean ofc you are right about it but your actions made u look bad. RPers got exiled from this chat without even a single hint.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I agree with you too Pix, I consider myself one of the worst here and I'm not Troll. Just a little bit of funny sexual conversation.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hugest nerf to Sona was her Arcade Sona skin. I hope you get a buff.

    ReplyDelete
  76. So damn nerfed :/

    ReplyDelete
  77. Yup. But you might want to change your name back to Warwick now. It is safe agagin.

    ReplyDelete
  78. This blatant discrimination and hate is simply injustice!

I call to you all! Champions, Summoners, other individuals, entities, ideas, illusions, personifications and impersonifications and henceforth that reside in this realm: Stop the antipathy!

Surrender@20 is a wonderful place and such rapacious words simply taint it's splendor!

I ask you, my fellow Champions to be more prolific in your expressions. Yes it is fun to say our usual quotes that we say in the Fields of Justice, but we are not in it anymore; we are here and this place deserve more than one liners and simple phrases. I rally you all to join me, in making conversations with substance but stay true to yourself, as I am.

To those who raise the banner, of hate, resentment and repugnance; We have as much right here as you have. We, the Champions go on and post happily without ill-will to you, nor do we besiege you with words of spite on your comments. We simply expect the same respect and tolerance we give you, to us.

Again all I ask is that for what the Surrender@20 has given to us, we repay with justice through proper behavior in this realm!

    That is all.

    Surrender@20, Now and Forever.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Why do we watch these pros when you could just admire me huh? I mean they havent got style like I do :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Well sorry that you dont get as much attention as we do... Especially me :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Well, I kinda led you off the beaten track with that time machine discussion...

    ReplyDelete
  82. Responding once in character is one thing, having 10-20 "champions" talking to each other about what one "champion" said is extreme. Unfortunately, that is what it usually devolves into.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I enjoyed the role-playing especially since the site's focus is a game afterall; however...I also understand how Frosty and yourself would be annoyed by how things kinda got out of hand.

Personally, I know that I was often posting waayy off-topic as "Future Hiemerdinger."

I would love it if we were allowed to continue posting as "champions" provided that we actually address the post's topic and do not spam up the chat log.

    ReplyDelete
  84. While I agree it is stupid and juvenile, it isn't harming anyone if its kept in check. I'm pretty sure the RP will be toned down now. If not, I'm sure something similar to the prior punishment will be put down.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Not to go off-topic but we haven't ever insulted people like you're doing now. We've been called idiots and "autismal" and a bunch of other crap so it would be nice if everyone just calmed down.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Its when you comment with a champion quote that doesn't even have any significance to the post, and does nothing more than clog up and break up relevant discussion that pisses everyone off. No one wants you to stop having fun, just when it detracts from the experience of other people (trolling) would we ask you to kindly GTFO.

    ReplyDelete
  87. What is it with downvoting all the rpers? Is this some kind of wave of hatred? Why can't we all co-exist in this awesome site

    ReplyDelete
  88. It ok. It helped everyone know you were from the future. Also, nice cover name. But go back to Future heimerdinger, that is what you really are.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I am once again Future Heimerdinger, your noble legacy, but I will stay in the present topic and avoid straying into forbidden places so as to avoid abusing the collective kindness of Frosty and Moon.

    ReplyDelete
  90. "Its when you comment with a champion quote that doesn't even have any significance to the post" So, the start of the Championship Series is an inappropriate time to say "Let the bloodshed begin?"

    ReplyDelete
  91. I called this out when I noticed the second post in a row getting flooded by those new champion accounts a long while ago.

Everybody loves RP but this went way too far.

Calling out all those 'RPers' out there, we all love somebody pretending to be a champion making champion related jokes and witty comments but it went all too wrong then.

From random quotes coming out like a flood in response to one another to the worse part where we started having grammatically incorrect champions or people writing things like 'y tnx u casi i luv been kata' or others making subtle or explicit sexual jokes or references among champions of different or same sex. That is not RP. That is bullshit.

Also I agree with Moobeat regarding frosty acting too forward on this but he was right in something as that had to be done. NotSarcasm well expresses the issue.
