First up is the addition of the Articles tab. While Surrender at 20 is known for content like PBE news and red post collections, and more, we are interested in growing and producing more top of the line content for our fine community. This new Articles tab will help us accomplish that by providing access point for "non news" articles such as theorycraft, champion reviews, interviews, guest write ups, and any other type of original content you could imagine!
Of course we wouldn't want to launch such a feature without any punch behind it, so allow me to introduce Sr Grimm and Dr. Franks PARADIGM SHIFT
Paradigm Shift is the newest project here at Surrender at 20! It's a collaboration between S@20 and two rapscallions by the names of Sr. Grimm and Dr. Frank!
Before I get too far ahead of myself, I present you with two introductions from the dynamic duo themselves!

I'd love to share "The Great Atlas" - my extensive collection of collaborated briefs on each champion, with you!"
"Good day, fellas! Allow me to introduce myself as Sr. Grimm “The Mad Gentleman”. I am a second semester engineering student which means I'm good with numbers bad with words (bwahahaha). My articles section called “Moments of Strangedosity” is full of numerical madness and good tips for you! Go check it out!"Now I know you must be thinking "Great Atlas? Moments of Strangedosity? What ever could those be!?". Allow me to introduce each of these fantastic new pieces of content!

The first of these articles centers around the question of "Is Muramana or Seraph's Embrace a better option for Ryze?". Using mathematics and theory, it examines how much more damage a Ryze with Muramana can produce compared to one who has chosen to purchase a Seraph's Embrace.
This is only the first of many articles and I hope you enjoy it! As always, we're open to feedback and suggestions so don't hesitate to leave your thoughts in a comment down below!

ReplyDeleteQuestion, not specifically toward you but toward the whole staff (I just know you reply often): Why not call the new tab "Editorials" instead of "Articles"? I guess to me an 'article' can represent anything on a news site; unspecific, just another term for "page with news!". However, an 'editorial' has more of a personal vibe, specific to topics chosen by the editor, which seems to be the goal with this new segment, no?

ReplyDeletewe hope to have all sorts of content from guest columns, interviews, different community interactions, and we just hit a bump trying to find a good umbrella word. Crunched to get everything out we settled with the bland ole article.
