PBE: Shadow Isles Patch Preview

Posted on at 8:29 PM by Moobeat
The next PBE patch is going to be a doozy. In addition to the updated Twisted Treeline and Elise, there will also be an extensive batch of balance changes. Going against the tradition of "not knowing what the shit is going on with the PBE since Riot never releases patch notes or specifics to let us know what to test", Phreak has put up a text only patch preview detailing the bigger changes Riot is putting up for testing.
Continue reading to check out the dealio on the upcoming PBE balance changes, including nerfs for Evelynn, Jayce, Rengar, Ezreal, Sona, Blitz, Trinity Force/Page, and DFG, as well as buffs for Syndra.

Here is what Phreak had to say about most of the bigger changes coming in the Shadow Isles PBE patch:
"Another patch is about ready to hit the Public Beta Environment, so it’s time to take an in-depth look at a few of the potential updates slated to hit the Fields of Justice. We won’t cover everything, and some of this is likely to change based on your feedback, but here’s what you can expect when you log into the PBE.

League of Rengar

After his initial release, we made a series of improvements to help Rengar live up to his reputation as the ultimate predator. They worked – so well, in fact, that even after one round of nerfs Rengar’s still wreaking havoc all over the Fields of Justice.

To dial back some of the extra kick that we gave the Pridestalker, we’ve got a series of upcoming changes. Step one was taking the bonus from a Ferocity-charged Savagery attack down to a more reasonable level. We’re also reducing his base Health Regen to make him less sustainable in lane. Because his base survivability was so high, Rengar players were able to dump a disproportionate amount of their Ferocity into raw damage potential. This made him an incredibly frustrating lane bully. With his Health Regen at a more reasonable level, Rengar will now have to balance his Ferocity between sustaining with Battle Roar and raw ganking potential.

In addition to his laning presence, Rengar was able to abuse his ultimate to escape from sticky situations a little too easily. Since we wanted this ability to be about hunting people down and killing them, rather than split pushing and vanishing into the woods, we decided to reduce total stealth duration on Thrill of the Hunt and increase the cooldown. This should give the decision to go on the hunt a bit more gravitas.

Evelynn Makes Widows

Since the remake, the Widowmaker has really been living up to her name, and Agony’s Embrace has been causing tragic moments for champions all across the Fields of Justice. In an effort to mitigate the number of traumatized players Eve’s been leaving in her wake, we’re going to be dialing back the Ability Power ratio on her ultimate quite a bit. This should help to prevent her from snowballing out of control as the game goes on and she racks up AP.

Evelynn’s ultimate was intended to work as a great initiation tool, slowing enemies and giving Evelynn the shield she needed to stay up through a team fight. In conjunction with a Deathfire Grasp, however, it can brutally spike down an enemy before they can react.

Deathfire Grasp

While we’re on the subject, Deathfire Grasp is a particularly challenging item to balance because adding an additional nuke to an already bursty mage (like Evelynn) can be a rather scary proposition. Because the stats it offers are already so desirable, there’s almost no downside to folding the active ability on DFG in with your standard spell combo and simply blowing people up.

Because of the power the active brings to the table, we’ll be scaling back stat bonuses attached to DFG. We’re also scaling back the base damage on the active effect, but increasing the AP ratio to move it more toward the intended function of dealing with big, beefy tanks later in the game when you’ve had time to build up a bunch of Ability Power.

Syndra Rising

Syndra is getting a ton of quality of life improvements in the upcoming patch that should make her a lot easier to use effectively. While her overall utility placed her in a pretty strong position, getting the most out of the Dark Sovereign could be prohibitively tricky. In the new patch, her abilities should function much more intuitively. We also fixed a couple of nasty bugs that could prevent Force of Will, Scatter the Weak, or even Unleashed Power from functioning as intended, which could really hurt your game if you were relying on one them to keep an enemy at bay, set up a combo, or burst somebody down.

Jayce Gets Hammered

Jayce is proving a bit more formidable than we’d intended. The combination of Acceleration Gate and Shock Blast provides him with too much low cost poke, particularly for how difficult it can be to dodge the combo. To make Jayce players choose their shots a bit more carefully, we’re increasing the Mana cost on Acceleration Gate to make him a bit less frustrating to fight against.

We also removed the flat base damage from Thundering Blow to make early exchanges with the Defender of Tomorrow a bit less heavy hitting. We’d always intended for this skill to be a disengage tool, and having it function as his hardest hitting nuke made it a bit too powerful. Even with just the percentage damage and Attack Damage ratio to carry it, it still hits pretty hard, but should make the idea of exchanging combos with Jayce a little less of an intimidating proposition.

Robot Dancing

Sona and Blitzcrank are two supports who both bring a lot to the table, but both are actually too durable for the functions their currently serve. To make sure they pay the price for mistakes they might make in lane, we’ll be dialing back the base stats on both of these popular support champions.

For Sona, we really want to preserve the awesome poke gameplay she has with Hymn of Valor and Power Chord, but we still want her to be vulnerable when she overextends. She’s so safe in lane right now that other supports are actually less viable options by comparison. By taking her down a peg, we think we’ll actually open up the playing field in bottom lane to even more support characters.

While Blitz needs to be a great deal more durable than Sona to fill his role, right now he’s so resilient that he’s able to initiate with relatively little risk. While pulling an opponent is still definitely a viable way to initiate, Blitzcrank’s tanky attributes allow him to simply use Overdrive to run in and open with Power Fist, and then yank the opponent back into range with Rocket Grab as they start to run away. We’re pleased to see these balls-out Power Fist charges, but we’d like them to serve as more of a high-risk gambit than they currently are.

Ezreal’s Essence Fluxes

Ezreal’s been a pretty consistently dominant force in the AD carry lineup since his induction into the League, albeit with a significant learning curve. Ezreal was always intended to be a slippery, long-range, high-skill champion who relied on his extreme mobility and long range poke to take down enemies. Unfortunately, right now, the Attack Speed debuff on Essence Flux is so powerful that it allows him to dominate 1 v 1 duels without doing any of that.

In the upcoming patch, we’re removing the Attack Speed debuff on Essence Flux to prevent the Prodigal Explorer from simply casting his W on an adversary and then finishing off his crippled opponent with repeated attacks. This should force Ezreal players to be quicker on their feet and win duels through superior positioning rather than a brutal debuff.

Phage and Trinity Force

On a related note, we’re also bringing the slow effect on both Phage and Trinity Force down a peg. While this isn’t a direct nerf, both Ezreal and Corki (the two prime Trinity Force customers) can snowball pretty heavily through the added chasing potential that these items provide. To give injured opponents a better chance to escape from attackers both in top and bottom lane, we are reducing the slow effect applied by ranged attacks on both items, and reducing the slow duration on Phage."
Hopefully we'll see some specifics on these if the PBE patch is indeed updated later tonight
edit: Meddler put up some specifics on the Syndra buffs.
"Quick update on where we're up to. We've tested a bunch of changes internally and they'll be available on the PBE once that's up. Key changes below, would love to hear feedback from anyone that gets a chance to test them on the PBE.

Force of Will:
- Grab time reduced to 0.25s from 0.33s (0.25s is our standard cast time on most spells)
- Now grabs nearest Dark Sphere in range if a valid target is not directly clicked on
- Now executes throw commands given during the grab time immediately once the grab's over, rather than blocking throw commands until the grab's finished
- Minions/Dark Spheres getting pulled around will no longer get stuck on terrain

Scatter the Weak:
- Dark Spheres that have just about finished casting when the wave hits will now be knocked back when they arrive
- Enemies hit by both the wave and a Dark Sphere will now be stunned and knocked back, whereas previously they'd sometimes only get knocked back

Unleashed Power:
- Now checks for spell shields on a sphere by sphere basis, not at start of cast for the whole cast
- Doesn't go on CD if target dies during the cast animation
- Now pulls in Dark Spheres that had been cast but not yet arrived when the ult cast was started

We also spent a lot of time talking the range on her ultimate but elected not to increase it, at least not until we've got a clear understanding of what sort of impact these changes do or don't have on Syndra's performance. If after these changes Syndra's still underperforming it's one of the first things we'll look at again (though that's no guarantee we'll necessarily opt to increase it of course, other buffs might be more appropriate). The passive's the other thing I'd like to look at as well at some point, again though exactly what will be somewhat dependent on how her state changes."

  1. God they're nerving the crap out of Rengar. He's so easy to counter though, and now his jungle is pretty abysmal, I hope they don't turn him into a awful unplayed champ. I really like him >_>

    2. Yeah Rengar was only a bit stronger than others, all these nerfs were way too unnecessary, he's almost useless now.

    3. hopefully some of these are reverted

    4. This doesn't really hit jungle Rengar much, other than the increased CD on the ultimate which was nuts anyways (lawl 80s at mid game, seems balanced). The Empowered Savagery nerf I'm a bit leery of as depending on how the exact nerfs go it may bring down his late game too much to be useable. I'm not willing to put him away yet as he's one of the more fun junglers in the game.

    5. Not sure how this is a nerf to make him unplayable. They are reducing his natural lane sustain and his GODLIKE burst damage off of an empowered Savagery. Absolutely needed. His burst damage is way too huge to how durable he is.

      Delete
    6. As long as they dont over do the Q nerf he should be fine. Thats what he depends on most in order to kill targets quickly. That and the ult nerf was WAY unjustified. but w/e people would rather whine about a champion intended to snowball than learn how to counter play him.

    7. Rengar = free elo on the twisted treeline. It is actually an embarrassment to lose with him and if you somehow don't remember to ban him and don't have first pick in a ranked game, it's gg.

      Delete
    8. He's just too tanky naturally.
He doesn't have to build tanky and he gets great burst damage.
But I do think now he's going to be unusable.

    13. Im a jungler main and rengar forces me into a love hate relation ship with my top lane. When the enemy takes rengar top im forced to do a level 2 gank to save top before rengar mauls their face off, and gank again before level 6 or it will already be too late. Rengar attacking the turret can reach his own turret during the stealth makeing him impossible to gank, even with oracle the speed boost is quite large. Hes got a strong early game and he snowballs hard it is a very rare game when im nit babysitting top to fend off a rengar. Hes the new version of prenerf tiger udyr.

    15. Empowered Savagery:

      Physical damage: 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+ 250% AD)
      Attack Speed: 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100%

So, he can deal well over 400 damage to you from one hit at level 9, and keep on pounding the little HP you have left with doubled attack speed... all whilst being able to leap at you from a random bush and slow you to half (50% at rank 1)... can do a lot versus that, really.

      Delete
    16. I like how everyone is crying about rengar when ezreal literally lost all reason to put points into W unless he goes AP. It does crappy damage, It doesn't do anything to the target it only procs your passive once in a 1v1 situation. heck its basically the same as E but without the small flash that it's paired with it.

there literally is no reason to pick ez now. he loses in magic damage poke to kog, in poke in general to cait, in straight up burst to corki, in midgame to graves and his lategame is worse than even graves too who is supposed to be below average late game compared to other carries.

      Roit I am dissapoint

      Delete
    17. you forget that ez and teamates still get the attackspeed buff.

    18. Rengar is now completely useless... His late game was already quite weak, with this nerf he will become useless... I really am disappointed with this, I demand a refund on Rengar. If only I knew he would receive this bullshit, I wouldn't bought him in the first place. Unless they buff Rengar the next patch on his Attack Speed per level and armor the next patch, he is completely useless. Also, I see no reason why Bonetooth Neckless is being nerfed.

      Delete
    19. Almost all the nerfs i saw are going to rape these champions. Especially the Rengar nerfs. Get a thornmail and he kills himself on top of his R being a piece of shit since the cd is going up. The Bonetooth barely ever gets fed and that's getting nerfed for no reason too. Why the F are they messing with Ezreal? He's one of the earlier champions. He's been fixed by now. WTF is wrong with you Riot?!?!?!?

      Delete
    20. i think these are some good nerfs his burst damage is too high at all levels and because of his ult he can just burst someone and run off without the enemy being able to do anything the fact that he can 3 hit most champs at level 3 is ridiculous this will make rengar still dominant but more vulnerable and no extemely hard to kill or focus

And lets dont talk about the actually good players who play rengar and come out of ranked games with score like 40/1 if enemy team doesnt give 1/2 of their money for wards and oracles and armor items

      Delete
    3. I don't agree with the heal but I do feel like he should get something, this is a far bigger nerf to an Ez who goes AP than one who goes AD.

      Delete
    4. ^^ Idk how the nerf is that bad; all they did is remove the attack speed debuff. How many other AP's do you plan on going up against with over .7 or .8 atk speed? The sad truth is that people would rather use the near broken champs (pre nerf) like Rengar and Ezreal, than to learn to play less amazing (but still very viable) champions. Riot is trying to promote variety. Stop whining and learn to accept when something is legitimately TOO good to the point where the meta seems to be over centralized around it.

      Delete
    5. Person above makes a good point. Ez already gains additional attack speed after his attacks land a hit, and essence flux slows the enemy's attack speed.

      Delete
    6. ..Did you read the article?
Essence flux no longer slows the enemy's attack speed.
He is now vastly outclassed by most other carries - that was his saving grace.

      Delete
    7. ofc they'll remove it when attack speed is one of the main stats for an AD carry , when ezreal can debuff it hard the AD carry gets like 2 times more useles imagine what happens if Ezreal got nunu support.

  7. Wow... the nerf on Ezreal is just stupid.
Now his W wont do anything unless you want to use double q (with no proc and less range... but hey! It goes through minions!1!1)
Taking his debuff completely is just stupid as hell.
GJ Riot, now make Pulsefire Corki and take out the proc on his ult.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Lol. While it was a bit of an intense nerf, it's hardly stupid. When Ezreal is chosen for no other then his essential over-powered ability to shut down any other AD Carry via attack speed debuff, you know there is clearly a problem.

This just means that any fight Ezreal gets into now, means it's literally about skill and proper placement, rather than a W which shoots through minions and other champions which basically allows him to win the duel.

      Delete
    2. The thing is, I do think Ezreal could have get a nerf, but taking out the debuff COMPLETELY it's just way too much... I mean, really, now how can ezreal win to... idk, graves? He just can't. Graves will e for position, shoot the hell out of the lil scout, q and blabla to burst him down.
This was pretty stupid if they pretend to take the carries to a more balanced level. Now this will be League of Graves.

      Me sad :(

      Delete
    3. So that just means he has one hard counter. Oh no, the world is going to end.

    4. It's still PBE stuff, things might change. Yes I said "might", don't hurt me if it stays.

      Delete
    5. Hopefully they will undo the damage nerf to essence flux to compensate for it not lowering attack speed anymore

      Delete
    6. How about with positioning and skillshots? You know, the way he was intended to be played?

I'm not talking out of my ass here, I've been playing ez at platinum for years now and I never maxed his W first, Q was always superior

Needless to say I'm glad I can finally play my old school ezreal again <3

      Delete
    7. +1

besides ezreals w debuff is overpowered all other ADC got nerfed, just ezreal was stronk than ever

now it should be balanced, but we will see

      Delete
    8. Don't get me wrong, I do play ezreal like he should be played (like someone said up there, maxing q and nice positioning), and its way more fun, but I really think it's a bit too much to take out the debuff without giving a little bit more dmg or ad scale (0.2 would be good).
And I used Graves as an example because they are the current 3 (along with corki) top ADC both in picks and bans. If they nerf ez so hard, they should do the same to Graves (and no, the nerf to his e was just stupid, they have to lower other stuff like his q scale).

      Delete
    9. They've nerfed the scaling/dmg on Graves Q 2-3 times now. It's fine. Graves plays like he should an up front in your face cowboy with a shotgun.

The debuff was far too much on Ez and he does perfectly fine damage as it is, though I do agree moving the base up a little may be helpful it is not necessary. It will really start to separate the Ez-bandwagon from the people who really enjoy Ezreal.

Being able to blink up to someone's face, W-Q and Auto them to death without ANY repercussions at all....was just overpowered. Now you have to play him to maximize his range. Which is what Ez should be about.

      Delete
    10. Yeah, but the fact that he still is the #1 carry nowadays has to mean something.
His entire kit (dash, slow, armor/mr increase, nuke ult) is just too strong for the current rest of adc.
I think riot has two options: Nerf (balance) grave.
Buff the rest of the underpowered carries (like they did with mf and cait).

And yes! Ez was way too powerful, but taking his debuff without mana cost reduced or another effect/scale its quite hard.
Anyway, we'll see when the patch gets deployed.

      Delete
    11. Ez was in pretty much EVERY game in worlds. That says something imo. He was even first picked a few times. And generally the team that picked AD carry first, picked Ez.

He is just too all-round, and too strong. He have best escape probably, he have a global, he have extremely long range poke and an attackspeed modifier, and on top of that fairly high attackspeed thanks to his passive. He have very little downsides, and is way to safe to play.

      Delete
    12. Alguno, you are forgetting Draven.

Aphromoo and Phantoml0rd often get 20+ kills a game as Draven. His damage is retarded.

The new trinity is now Kog'Maw, Caitlyn, Draven.

      Delete
    13. The reason graves and corki are so valued is they are the only carries not hard countered by ezreals attackspeed slow. Ezreal is the driving force that all bottom lane picks must keep in mind, his attackspeed slow dictates whats good and whats not. When his W gets nerfed i guarantee well see MF, sivir, and kogmaw come back. These picks are sparce in tourneys an its ALWAYS after the enemy team had already picked so they know they wont lane against ezreal.

How will ezreal hold up against graves and corki after the nerf? By matching teir burst, you have 4 nukes, its not rocket science.

      Delete
    14. To the guy who said Ez will lose to graves in lane due to the nerf... because you know.. graves burst is all autos right?

  9. I feel the essence flux debuff is going to make his w an almost useless skill, I'd compare it to a skarner e now. At least nerf just the percent decrease in as, but not only make it a damage skill since the attack speed buff on allies isn't really useful and the mana cost of w is already really high.

  23. I get it, Rengar is an early game terror, but he sucks balls in teamfights and he's easy to counter... some late game compensation would be nice. Didn't they just fix his double-jump bug? That alone should take away a lot of his power.

This rengar nerf is retarded. They don't know their OWN game! Rengar is VERY easy to counter.

    2. The problem with Riot is that they make the game more and more casual when strategy are forced to fight some character. The whole anti-fun and burden of knowledge are horse shit, IMO.

  24. .... I see some justly deserved nerfs and some that may go a little far. I still have not seen any love for nasus in a long time. Nasus loses to just about everyone except yorick.

    2. best laner? Viktor begs to differ. Like, I seriously never lose my lane with Viktor, unless their whole team constantly towerdives me and kills me. Or if I have 600/700 ping. The only champion that really destroys me late game is Veigar (maybe even Kass). And no, Le Blanc can't exploit my early game, cause I can easily faceroll her.

    3. Eve's true potential is in positioning (movement speed quints helps). If you are fighting as eve and enemy isn't trying to run away, you have failed at positioning.

Once you master positioning, it's viable to go snowball builds on her. Sometimes, when I feel adventurous, I even go crazy stuff like mob boots/lich bane/phantom/meia/occult/leviathan.

  33. Jayce, even after his previous minor nerfs, was still dominating top lane. He would win the lane 9 times out of 10. There was almost no way to outplay a good jayce barring babysitting from your jungler. And before you say something stupid about how "you're a noob and don't know how to play, noob. uninstall.", top lane is my specialty. I specialize top in Gold and still can't beat a jayce most of the time.

  34. Soon people will realize that Kha'Zix wasn't that much weaker than Rengar, and in fact stronger now.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wow really Riot? Severely nerf champs to make Syndra's small buffs look big? Her risk versus reward is whack.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I get why they are slowly buffing Syndra but those changes are some big ones.. Hope they are altered.. I hope they at least reduce the cost of Ezreal's W if they are removing the debuff.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ezreal's Nerf is Simply amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lol I can't believe you people, so many people literally going "WAAAHH MY PREVIOUSLY OP CHAMP" and can't seem to objectively see how these champions were simply too strong and how these nerfs are perfectly in place.
If you're mad about these nerfs, get out of the bandwagon of 500 elo shitters who play champs cause they're OP, learn more champions, get better, and stop whining.

  40. like 5th buff to syndra?

every player got in mind the she sucks when she was released so I bet the will buff her until someone starts playing her and the realize that she's damn op after 15 buffs and will get like 8 nerfs

    MY MATH PWNS

    1. At the moment she is kind a clumsy in team fights and duels, but farming is insanely good. With these buffs, I suspect that she's going to be OP as hell. Good news for me, I like playing soccer with her balls.

  41. all flamers and whiners just check your favorite champs winrates on lolking, you will see some of them just got hilarious winrates ez more than 55% which is very high compared to other carries who all place around 50% or lower..... in fact jayce winrate is about 50 or 51 percent, i agree he is annoying in lane but winrates tell us that people learned to deal with it so lets see if nerfs made him underpowered now. Rengar is also on 54% so he deserves to be nerfed. Sona? also 54%.
    Finally most nerfs are legitimate.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Btw. Syndra is on 35% winrate.... I agree she isnt played very often and lots of people just try her and fail what probably make her winrates drop but 35% ?! She definetly needs some buffs.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sona and Blitzcrank nerfs? What we need is a Leona buff, right now!

    ReplyDelete
  44. And in the next.patch: sooo we made syndra a little bit too strong, so here are the changes.....

  45. Dammit, i spent all my back purchases=( now i want to sell moar! reset it pls =((
khazix - shit, rengar seems to become a shit, and there is no way to sell it back:(
    riots no fair =(
or make a sell back option for 25% less of sale..
i know that thare are a pbe client, but..it's unfair anyway..too many nerfs =( dissapointed..

  46. It's just gonna be another year before some person starts playing Ez/Rengar at 2.5k + elo and then busts them out one tournament and suddenly everyone will be back into them.

it's just a meta shift, true fans of x champion will still play them at whatever juncture their available for. Maybe they will release a new Top laner who abuses range and rengar with brut > glacial shroud will be the best counter for him.

    TL:DR nerf =/= unplayable

    ReplyDelete
  47. The CDR removal on DFG feels unnecessary..

  48. the shop on the pbe is horribly broken...

  49. I like rengar, andi can accept the nerfs... What I don't understand and can't accept is why Khazix didn't get nerfed too...

    ReplyDelete
  50. Agreed! The only champion who really buggs me right now is Khazix.. Rengar has been nered twice in a row... While Khazix still OP

    ReplyDelete
  51. Khazix hasnt been nerfed yet because their still trying to make money off him durrr! His splash is still up why not go a further step and earn a bit more cash

    ReplyDelete
  52. The Sona nerf isn't as bad as I thought.... but I was hoping for a larger nerf to Blitz.

    ReplyDelete
  53. People qq'ing rengar gets nerfed, so butthurt they lose their free elo.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I wish they would look at karma, sejuani, and other champs that I completely forgot about but aren't played what so ever.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I laugh at all your op rngar fanboi's

hahaha nerf rengar to the ground! he had his month of op bs, now its time to balance the game, sorry fanboi's of op.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Agreed. Next there'll be an argument about how it's Riot's fault that TSM lost at world's.

    ReplyDelete
  57. They need to buff some more champions with unique kits. I mean from an AD carry standpoint, pro match history looks like Corki, Ezreal, Graves, Ezreal, Corki, Graves, Ezreal, Kog'Maw, Corki, Graves, Corki, Ezreal...
Instead of nerfing Ezreal, why not buff MF, Caitlyn, Sivir, Draven more to make them viable?

    ReplyDelete
  58. All I hear is a bunch of babies crying. Riot made it this far with reason. Those crying about Rengar are obviously Rengar players, stop whining it's part of the game, ups and downs.

    ReplyDelete
  59. well i really think they are nerfing too hard some champs like rengar and that takes the fun of playing a the champ, im not saying i like OP champs, just saying they are nerfing too hard that it get the fun out of playing the champs...and those nerf also make them arder to play so people will stop using them too :S....thats they always to more secure or solid picks than getting the risk of picking one of those champs.....i dont know if right or not thats just what i think of it....

    ReplyDelete

    1. If you want fun, play a champ that isnt op or overused, twitch is awesome against ez, and now without an as debuff, hes even stronger against him (poison stacks + e = adc nuke), ez getting nerfed in any amount isnt going to make him underpowered ever, just less op

      Delete
  60. Rengar's stealth is very strong, i compare this ability to Wukong's clown, just longer and harder to predict because of its duration and very quick animation.
I like the Ezreal's nerfs. He was soloing lanes to easily, because disrupting the AD carry means to win bottom lane. He also had strong split pushing, wich combined with the global ultimate, made him ridiculous.
Blitz was already counterable with Leona and I guess Taric. I'm sure about Leona, tho. The OP part about Blitz is the W, imo.
Riot needs to nerf Shen's % of damage reduction with taunt. At least they nerfed the cooldown on that retarded Skarner's shield.
No changes for Orianna or Anivia, i'm pleased.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Ez change was needed.

There's nothing wrong with an attack speed debuff, but putting that AS debuff on an ADC, who goes up against other ADCs, the place where that debuff hurts the most, is harsh. Not only that, but Ez still gets an AS -buff- from his passive on top of that, further increasing the ratio of damage he can trade in lane. Combine that with the insane utility Ez gets from the rest of his kit in tandem (i.e., you can't increase the cooldown on his W because he can spam Mystic Shot, and even if the enemy ADC gets hit with the debuff and switches to skills to try to trade damage, Ez can just E away) and you see why he was pretty much picked/banned every game in the World Championships.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Lol yes, ez nerfs, now twitch is even more op compared to him...
(im only partially serious, ez sucks against twitch) twitch is the best, and now hes even better yay for ez nerfs

    ReplyDelete
  63. This is really great :) good job riot, balancing the champs is the best.

  64. At least leave the base damage at 40 or 70.. Just because people know how to actually play with em doesn't mean they are OP.
